Donga666 on warseer has seen ALL the new models for VC.
                                                                    Enjoy!
I have recently been to GW lenton to get my GD entry photographed (Diorama, it was too big for the photo rig at the NEC). So I spent a very pleasant afternoon in the photo-suit at Lenton. In the photosuit is a big set of figure cabinets full of stuff to be photographed for WD and Codex/Army books. There were all the Orks and some LoTR stuff, none of it made much impression as I had either seen it or I don't like the game (LoTR).

BUT, there was the whole VC army set out ready to photograph for the book etc etc.......BY GOD IT'S PRETTY!!!!! (in a sort of rotten way)

I will run down the list item by item:

Plastics:

Skellies, they are in scale to humans and they look realy nice although smaller than the current models, excellent sculpt! Nothing that you wouldn't expect in them.

Gouls, Yep Plastic! they are very hunched and spikey looking, (they were ranked as well!). Strangley they reminded me of Yoda for some reason, all hunched and very degenerate (I'm not saying Yoda is degenerate).

Direwolves, these are a VAST improvement on the current plastic metal hybrid. Not realy a great deal differant but they do look undead and very manky. More dynamic poses too.

Metals:

All three of the special characters, vlad, conrad and Manfred von....I know manfred was at the GD but he looks very pretty painted up. Conrad looks quite mad but by far my favourite is Vlad, a proper pose and nice armour in the current 'no-bloodline' theme. Gone is the silly 'hamour horror' look!

Two unamed vampires, one female sculpted by Seb Perbet which is nice but didn't blow me away. Improvement on the current lamians though! And a very very beautiful one with one bat wing in place of his arm and in a great pose, i will be buying this one even though I don't play VC (yet).

The best models by far in the range are the Blood Knights, they are SO GOOD LOOKING!!!!!! The knights and the horses are fully armoured & barded they are armed with lances. the horses are in such dynamic poses leaping and just looking great. The knights faces are visable too and they are full of character!

All the other stuff is the same, just repainted to fit in. I was a little disapointed to see the Black Knights the same models, I didn't find out if they were due a redo, sorry.

I have a winners day to come up but I think we are sworn to secrecy for that I didn't get into the design studio or casting hall, this time

It seems that GW is back tracking...alot.

not that I mind as the current skellies are good for only orcs..with the exception of the heads. But the skellies previous to these were human scaled.

Daemons are going back to their old looks with minor updates as well.

I wonder if the zombies will see rescaling as well in plastic...

What's the difference between a Blood Knight and a Black Knight?

Fishes through memories of fanstasy ...

Isn't blood knight one of the vampire types - ie a genral/hero slot wheras black knights are a cavalry unit type - special or rare?.

That's what I want to see. Yes they're versatile, but they're crappy sculpts. Giant heads and hands. I wonder if the success of other manufacturers' more realistically proportioned figs are sending GW a message.

Glad to hear about plastic ghouls, although I'll always dig Paul Mueller's sculpts.

I would be afraid, VERY AFRAID, that any future zombie scults will do away with seperate arms and heads and reduce the versitilty and fun of the kit.  GWs move towards incompativble plastics has seriously cut down my buying of their products.

Concerning fantasy, I agree.

The one and only army I ever want to do is night goblins, and that is no longer an option with the new way they make them....

Blech.

Bah. Cool news about the models, but when I see a rumors thread, I want rumors about the book and the builds!

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Plastic dire wolves make me the happiest, I've been waiting for plastic wolves for a looooong time. We'll see if the "all dire wolf" army is still doable ...

New plastic ghouls and skellies? Ok then. Funny that the old ghouls are QUITE difficult to rank up, so new hunchers here we come!

Well, they are now supposed to look like they came from inside a human being. So, a little smaller. Makes sense to me.

Blood Knights were mentioned in some fluff, where they appear to be vampirised (my dictionary tells me it should be "vamp irised"... anyone knows what it means?) Simarite Templars. I don't know how that translates into gameplaythat, is if they really have Thrall statlines.
