It doesn't appear the site allows direct linking of photos.

Here's the link if anyone wants to see:

Why do I want one? I don't even play 40K, yet I want one!

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Your sprues look just like mine!

I was wondering..... wasn't the baneblade supposed to come with that Apocalypse command tank upgrade sprue? I thought I read somewhere that it was supposed to, but mine and it looks like yours also didn't come with it...

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I STRONGLY recommend you read through my Baneblade assembly thread here:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/CommunityForums/tabid/56/forumid/6/postid/189413/view/topic/Default.aspx

Read the whole thread, not all the details were in the initial post.

The Baneblade kit is counterintuitive and the instructions are NOT to be followed directly if you want best results.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

I didn't receive a command sprue. There is a tank commander figure though, included (on the sprue with the upper hull and front hull gun) plus a standard slottabase for him. I heard nothing about, and did not receive, a command sprue. I belive it is included with the vehicle box armies however.

Having looked at it, I agree the assembly isn't as easy as a Russ but it's twice the size and hence 8x the complexity, going by the inverse square law. That being said, it could have been better designed but it's still far easier and cheaper than the resin one. I would rate 4/5, dropping one point for the crappy instructions (poor print quality, and I can see the wheel/track issue from a dry run without glue). Then agian - everyone does a dry run first, right? :-) So not really a problem that the insutrctions don't quite get it right :-)

IMHO $95 includes correct instructions. Though I'll buy this thing regardless since it is much cheaper than the FW version.

The directions seem ok to me so far, maybe not so much for a beginner but then I wouldn't recommend one of these for a beginner anyway.

So far I've just built most of the 2 track portions though. Saving the sponson areas for the very end though as that's where most my converting will probably be

I commented on the Command sprue because I got hold of one which came with the shop Baneblades. However they are not standard for Baneblades.

bluedragon - Yes dry runs are good, but unless you have more arms than a Hindu goddess you wont be able to hold onto all the loose bits to see how it ends out.

Fair enough that you can handle the kit, but I did see the results of the staff assembled Baneblade track section made as according to the instructions. The staffer was reasonably competent but the whole side was askew. So the warning was justified, besides the kit is not difficult, juist needs to be approached with more caution than usual.

Yeah I emailed GW this morning and they finally wrote back. You can order em for $8 though.

Don't think I really need it, just wanted to be sure something wasn't missing. Might add one though when I do my before-they're-gone-forever bitz order in a week or so.

On page 57 of Apoc you can see what happens when you fail the right hand rear track assembly :-) in fact i note on page 56 they did a photoshop for unpainted tracks ... iron duke also appears on page 9 but that's from front quarter, with correctly mounted, painted tracks.
