Falsified claim I'd say.

Pro painted? The bases don't look finished. But yep, you could call it painted. A good photo job will add a fistfull of dollars to an auction, may want to consider it.

The bases are all completely finished with GW sand and Woodland Scenics underbrush. I'm not very good at photography nor do I have expensive equipment for it.

There are alot worse things being called pro painted on ebay then mine and I'm still asking for under retail for the army. Thanks for looking though.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

"Pro painted" =

1. Good close up pictures showing crisp detail.

2. A con job with "tabletop quality" miniatures in the background.

There isnt a third option.

You might not be intentionally ripping off yojur bidders, but if you have real pro painted stuff SHOW IT. The descriptor "pro painted" is overused by brushmonkeys nowadays. The results are usually "tabletop quality'', yes there is a wide girth between the two, you round up, unless given good reason not to a bidder rounds down.
If you want to see pro painted check out Scibors auctions.

"I'm not very good at photography nor do I have expensive equipment for it."

The conmans first excuse, some even go as far as to say the digicam was borrowed and you cannot take more pictures, blah blah.
TIP: Bend your waist and get the camera closer.
You can take perfectly good close up pictures with an obsolete digicam. Mine is only 1.3M pixels and it does the job. No excuses.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Come on guys, be reasonable. There is no "con job" going on, because anyone who clicks on a supposedly "pro painted" lot and sees blurry pics is simply going to assume that they are not, in fact, pro-painted, and make the decision to bid/buy or not accordingly. The only person the OP is ripping off is him/herself by making the auction less appealing.

They look fine to me. Painted, based, what's the problem?

On another Classified's forum I post at, it is extremely bad form, and cause for suspension, to hijack someone's for sale thread with BS about it being a scam.

The proper, non-douchebag way to approach this is if you do have a valid concern that a sale is a scam, you ALERT THE MODERATORS THROUGH PM AND REFERENCE THE THREAD IN QUESTION. This way, if it is a scam, it gets deleted, and if it isn't, you don't have a bunch of worthless posts from douchebags calling someone's credibility into question.

Grow up people. This auction is fine.

Alright folks, let's calm down here.  Some of you have suspicions that this is not a professionally painted army, but that's not enough to start making accusations like this.  He does have photographs of the product in the auction as well as a link to more pictures.

We also know that the term "pro-painted" is bandied about by anyone with a fully painted army on eBay, so this is not outside the norm.   Bidders can always contact the seller requesting more pictures or just make their own judgments based on the existing pictures.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

It wasn't my intention to rip anyone off, I simply believed that with the time I invested in these models pro painted was an appropriate term.

I removed all instances of pro painted from the auction reverting simply to painted. There is also a link to my photobucket with more pictures of the army at the bottom of the auction.

If anyone would like pictures of a specific unit or model feel free to ask and I would be happy to oblige. I also lowered the price as well.

Thanks for looking!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

You are misreading what I am saying.

I am saying how it may be SEEN not how it is. Most buyers are wary of propainted unclear photos, and play safe.

The first rule of selling painted minis: a good photographer will make more money than a good painter. Good or bad, somebody will want your painted minis if they know exactly what they're getting.
