I think it'd be a unique item now, and wouldn't allow anything to be stacked with it, even other sticks named Branch. I could be wrong though.

I think if you name the stack they all go together, but I'm messing with ideas for puzzle dungeons at the moment. I made a small village in my area which I planned to build a large one under, but thinking more on it I feel like it might be better to make a series of smaller puzzle dungeons spread around the region with unique items to act as keys for a final larger puzzle with a prize at the end.

Started cause I built a pokemon inspired town and wanted to have a gym, so why not have badges.

Yeah, if you make something named, then only stuff that has that exact same name, on that type of object, will go through the filter.

lady dria seems to have gained a axe called "carrot & potato farm" does anyone know where this axe belongs so it can be put back?

That axe if from Spawn, in a chest between the Potato and Carrots farms, it was used to increase the drop rate of vegetables. It went missing months ago and has long since been replaced.

Since durability doesn't decrease when harvesting vegetables there's no need for 2 axes. Keep it or return it, makes no difference at this point.

Setting up pixelmon to try it out. Any ideas where I could get a server going for it for not too much? Unless enough of us ask Dark nicely enough, but I think it'd be pushing it to have 3 mc servers and starbound going.

Still looks like an interesting mod to mess with and very indepth after how long it's been in development now.

I'm currently playing Pixelmon on a public server. The people are nice enough, but since there's been a huge intake of new players the rock leaders are swamped, making them slightly cranky at times. Even going so far as to coin the term 'Rock Slaves' for themselves, since every time they go on there's a line of around 10-20 people waiting for them. All in all, they fixed the lag from the new players, the players can be nice, if the rock leaders are on a shorter fuse as of late. I volunteered to help out, but they're looking for people who have been playing for longer than I have.

How do the gyms work, do they like have a set low level or something? Cause In the actual background all the gyms are at the same level they just adjust how many pokemon they use to match the amount of badges you have, the levels are a game mechanic for progression. But, really you can challenge any of the gyms in any order you want.

There is a set order on which gym you fight. IE First you face the rock gym, earn the cobble badge, and move on to Gym 2 (grass). Each gym requires you to show the previous gyms' badges as proof that you are ready to face them. Each gym also has a maximum level your Pokémon can be, for example the max for the rock gym is level 25. Each gym also has a max number of Pokémon you can use to fight them. (Starting from a 3v3 and moving onwards as you progress).

Each gym also has a board in front of it adding any extra rules (banning a certain move, etc) and shows the rules I mentioned above as well.

I also just found out with the built in npc editor you can basically make NPC gym leaders anyway lol.

So my hard drive failed. This is why I'm super-glad that I do my primary Minecrafting on a server, as opposed to keeping it on my own computer. Gonna have to re-start my Minecraft Let's Play, though, so joy with that.

Trying to make a modded game where the zombies are more aggressive, spawn more often, spawn during the day, etc...

Anyone know of any mods they could suggest for that? A lot of the zombie mods Iv'e seen don't twork with pre-made maps or require some really old versions to work. Trying to host a little city-based zombie apoc game with friends and they want it to be more challenging, though they're not awful clear on how lol. We have a mod that makes it so only zombies spawn as far as hostile mobs go, and this results in some huge hordes during the nighttime, but they want more during the day, and more in general.

Thaumcraft has their Angry and Furious zombies, which are sort of Berserker zombz- the Furious ones actually grow and become more powerful as you strike them, while the Angry ones are just more aggressive.

The Baubles mod (I think) seems to add 'special' zombies which can drop treasure and stuff, and have special effects on them (though it might be Ars Magica that does that, not entirely sure)- For instance, I ran into a "Thorny Zombie", and died attacking it, because it had a high-level Thorns enchantment on it- there's also burning zombies and unholy zombies that I've run into.

None of these mods makes zombies more common, though, but if you're already setting things up so they're the only ones that spawn, that might be a good way to add some variety.

Also, Zombies (and skeletons) don't burn up in the daylight if they're wearing hats- so you could set up a Command Block to automatically equip all zombies in your world with leather helmets as soon as they spawn. Baby zombles also don't burn in daylight.

I'd suggest the Zombie Awareness mod for making zombies more challenging.

You can also control all mob spawning, potentially removing everything but zombies, with JAS but it can be a little tricky to configure.

If your running a server you could also pick up Monster Apocalypse. It's a plugin, the clients won't need it, and it's probably the most powerful tool I've used for mobs. It can do stuff like let mobs dig or build to get to you, have them pile up when they die to make paths for other mobs, and so on. Very configurable and versatile.

We tried it. Sadly, Zombie Awareness kept crashing no matter how I configured it. I'll test out hte Monster Apocalypse mod though.

Pondering trying out IC2/BC/Iron Chests with NEI in a single player game sometime... something with decent progression and a technological focus, without the inanity that is a lot of the weirder tech mods...

Hmmm, theirs a fairly simple, lightweight tech one on feed the beast. Tech lite 2 i think its called. Also basically plug and play, so no messing about. think it might be Lite 2 or such?

Has RF power, some of its more basic than others but its not like the fill blown techworld packs with the mods that made me think i needed a engineering degree,

It's not that, I just feel some of the tech mods don't have a good progression and flow. I mean, IC2 and BC both flow naturally from vanilla minecraft. When you play them, you feel like they could be just another aspect of vanilla if MC had taken a different route.

At least, I do.

agh, yes, however this version, the lite one, me and my friend playing it had early game tech stuff up in the first few hours, and yes the late game stuff is not so easy to get however, as all late game tech should be.

the flows pretty good, and most of it can be built using earlier game resources. some of it requires advanced alloys and such but thats far later game, steel, enderium, ender metals and such are not needed for a long time.

Jet packs are fun though, and the earliest models can be built and powered by lower end tier equipment.
Suvival generators are basic but one coal/charcoal can keep one running for 30 minutes.

Hmm. Only the third one, of those three, had IC2 in it. Not really a tech modpack without IC2 IMO...

I'll try TechWorld.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Actually, gonna try Direwolf20's pack, as that's the most recently updated of the packs that have IC2. It has magic stuff in it but I can probably ignore htem.

i posted the first 2 as there lighter is all.

not everyone's set up can handle the larger packs and despite lacking some things they have a tech focus and can be run on a lesser system. just posted them up as a just in case
