The paint jobs really pop there even more than normal as they almost look like painted statues than scale models. Obviously the CB painter is famous in the industry for his talent but I wonder if it's being enhanced a bit in photoshop as well more recently with more saturated color.

I think they pop more because they are against a white background.
The internationally beloved, futuristic tabletop wargame Infinity takes a galactic step into animation via the creative vision of renowned animation director Jay Oliva (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Zack Snyder's Twilight of the Gods)—and you're invited to witness the first public screening of footage, get the scoop on the latest castings, and hear all the exciting production details from director/producer Oliva, Covus Belli founders Carlos Torres and Fernando Liste, producer Gutier Lusquinos, actors Zehra Fazal (Young Justice, Halo Infinite, Starfield) and Jason Spisak (Arcane, Batman: Hush), and casting/voice director Wes Gleason (Batman: The Killing Joke). Publicist Gary Miereanu will moderate the panel, and every panel attendee will receive a Comic-Con exclusive Infinity minifigurine.

Honestly I tend to favour animation over live action for a lot of fantasy/scifi just because in animation they can do all the wild crazy things they want and it fits - live action you've got to have one big budget to pull it off and not have the fantastical elements stick out like a sore thumb

Yeah, a non animation only with a huge budget to do all things properly. Otherwise animation would be preferable.

But it's an LLM, they have no means to actually verify if their answer is correct in the first place.Less of an issue with lore, but could lead to some pretty funny results on the tabletop.

Yeah my experience of AI is they can be "fun" but they are not reliable and can often make stuff up; come to wrong conclusions or just be flat out wrong many times.
They kind of work well if they get pre-set answers to give only and the AI is mostly just fishing for keywords in your questions to then provide the predefined answers. So a glorified FAQ search system.
That way they can't make up stuff or come to the wrong conclusion. They are more limited in scope (based on how many answers they are fed); but can be more reliable and at least if they incorrectly interpret the question, the answer is at least accurate.
More distilled news on the upcoming N5. I mainly skimmed through the Gencon video as I, as a non-player, follow CB and this thread for the gratiutious minis pron and only looked at the concept art and minis previews. I'm guessing the video condenses news from the seminar and other sources at Gencon and elsewhere regarding the apparently upcoming next edition of the game.

I felt it was time. N4 was getting a little complicated again and feeling in need of a fresh start. Infinity doesn't have earth shattering changes in each edition though so its not as big of a shake up as it might be for other games. N4 plays pretty similar to N2 with a lot of QoL fixes.
