wow, so I saw this title, and thought, "Oh those new japanimation prepainted plastics from Privateer, sweet!" And then I saw the titles for the miniatures and saw they were hordes and thought, "OH NO! THEY'VE MADE HORDES PPP!!! AHHHHH!!!!" And then I realized that PPP was just an acronym for Privateer Press Previews. Way to scare the hell out of me.

Wow, I am so unimpressed. The description of that pirate chick deserves a much better mini, something in black leather with a wicked hat, Not the ugly she male in armour that I am seeing.

Aye, definitely think they dropped the ball with Fiona, gigantic sci-fantasy weapon included.

Just barely related note, impressed enough with Gudrun he might end up as a maneater in my quasi-PP ogre army. Any idea of the price on him? $TBD on the PP site ...

The Kriel Warriors UA is okay (BAGPIPES!), but Fiona the Black? It looks like someone tried to copy Werner Klocke from a bad-scanned CMON picture of a Bobby Jackson fig. I hope it's just the angle, but I'm not impressed.

The Trolls are decent. The piper is the best of the two. The Nyss would be better if their arrows didn't look like little spears. I'll be honest, I think Fiona looks like crap, and I don't think it's just the angle. Her face is shaped like a triangle.

All pretty meh...

But at least there are more than one pirate caster now, so everyone's pirate merc army won't look exactly the same.

Well, there's Broadsides Bart in the new No Quarter. I don't
know what Fiona does, but Broadsides Bart looks like
he's going to be a fun warjack warcaster. It'll give me an
excuse to pick up a Mariner and other assorted cool
looking warjacks.

None of those really impress me... maybe the trolls, the standard has some "cool" factor to it. Other than that, pretty meh. Guess I'm used to higher standards from PP...

That elf chick has a battering ram head. The ogres are okay, but the spooky elf archers kind of stink.

Wow. The Rhinodon is sweet! Almost makes me want to play Skorne too. Good stuff. Much better than Fiona, for sure.

Now THAT's a PP model! I'm likin' the Rhinodon (y'know, I should have thought of it more as a dinosaur than a rhino). I shudder to think how much pinning and green stuff I'm going to use to put it together, but it'll be fan-freaking-tastic after I do.

That's like Dino Riders. Sweet.

The shepherd is decent. One of the better Nyss models, to be sure. The Rhinodon is still by far the best of this batch of new releases though.

Turtleodon looks great, the best of the lot.

Aye, dinoceros is ftw, ups the big monster fighting level for Skorne (always a good thing).

The shephard is "blerg" though indeed better than most Nyss sculpts - its legs are really throwing me particularly. Bouncer is descent though, I can dig.

The troll bouncer I think is a great model. It's nice how we get regular upcoming releases from PP on a regular basis for all factions. NOt like some companies who do one army every six months while some armies have no new models in years.

I think later PP sculpts are getting increasing crass. Thery dont compare to the first waves of Warmachine, they seem to want to make everything bigger and better and more spiky etc. a bit like Gw did with late 80's early 90's chaos. Hopefully their studio will mature a bit.
