Anyone made any? I am looking at putting a Valkyrie and a flying stand, that is removable for  transport. I have a test done on a converted fighta bomba that uses a brass tube that fits into metal sockets on the base and bomba. Anyone else have any experience with this? Curious what other ideas have been had.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I don't have any Flyers, myself, but my buddies use thick plexiglass rods and thick plexiglass bases on all of their flyers. This way, it doesn't detract from the model by having a solid looking rod coming out of it.

It looks sharp.

For my ThunderHawk I used three lengths of steel music wire (1/8" ) in a tripod configuration, with no base on bottom.

Its' nice and stable, but doesnt interfere with whats below it.

Ide' love to show you a picture, but my camera is goofed up.

A wooden plaque (like you can get at the craft store) with a hole drilled in it for a 3/8" dowel works just fine.

My game group has bought the heavy metal microphone stands (the ones with the round black base).  One of our group works at a radio station, so he knew where to shop, a music/audio supply store I think.  If you take the stands apart, you can usually insert a length of metal rod into the base, and then into the bottom of the flyer. We've done it on Valkyries, Vultures, Ork Fighta Bombas, Thunderbolts and it's all good. The microphone stands are more than heavy enough for the heaviest of forge world flyers.

I like the Mic stand idea. Those bases are HEAVY. They could probably keep a Tau orca from tipping over... I'd still use a thick plexiglass rod, though.

I prefer the idea of something translucent holding the model up over something that would be so distracting.

Just my 2 cents.
