I bought one roll and I have mixed feelings about them. If your not into modeling they are great, but they are not going to make an outstanding terrain table better. They are just rolls of foam latex (I think, I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me) with full color art printed on them, they have no texture and no road markings. If you are planning to repaint them, you have no good reason to buy this product. If your a gamer that wants to make a very playable but lackluster table look better, these will help. They don't look bad, they are full color and have a style to them that's cool. If I wanted to put together a portable battle field I can lug around with me and set up where ever, they would be great. Basicily they are a B- product that is great for a beginner to gamer level player but not that hot for a hard core modeler. -Ray

I bought two.. and like NinjaRay said, they are good for the basic set up and play table... but if you are working on something nice, it's not really worth it.
And they are vynal.

Thanks for your input. I know I could make better than the vinyl roads. It's just an issue of whether I ever will. ender502

I bought one. As other posters have said, if you are making a table, build your own roads, if you like portable, these are nice. Since I don't have the space for a table, and I like the ability of a modular table to be different every single game, I like the roads and am thinking about picking up another set.
My one problem with them is getting them to lie flat. I took some time stacking heavy books, paint cans, etc on top of them to try and flatten them out, but they still curve in a little at the ends. If anyone has a good idea on how to fix this, I'm all ears.

That way, when you unrol it, the road's weight and the curve should help it to settle down better.

I think a few people will be gluing them to thin plywood the same size to make modular road sections that will stay flat (at least until your plywood starts warping!) That will make them more bulky and heavy, but will probably last longer.
