Given the facts you presented, and thinking as another camo/lt. infantry Guard player myself, I would lean towards B. I don't think you would have sufficient volume of fire to kill enough Guardsmen to reduce his heavy weapons output. As you know, you have to kill every last man in those ten-man squads to get rid of the heavies, which could be quite difficult for you, given the 3+'s.
Also, if you keep your hormogants spread out and keep the hellhounds stunned, he should have quite a bit of trouble mass-killing you-particularly if you can take advantage of the cover as well.

If you can squeeze in some cheap infilatrators yourself and win the dice-off, you can potentially deny him a huge chunk of the table, or, if he starts off hiding his vehicles and you place your infilatrators nicely, give you a chance of an obstructed run at the Basilisk.

However, I would also offer that you may want to re-consider how you arrange your games. Playing with lots of terrain is admirable, but when playing with one scenario only in this configuration you are inviting your opponent to keep hammering you with a gimmick army--his doctrines are set up to take maximum advantage of the situation while he takes units (the Hellhounds) that are set up to deny the advantage to your footsloggers.

While this Guard army works well in the situation you described, I imagine that it would be destroyed in say an Alpha recon with lesser terrain at 5+ . . . so to make it a bit more fun for yourself, figure out how to introduce variations into the table, mission, and mission level.
