I'd mount the Tacticals into Rhinos and slightly reconfigure them: 5 Marines + 1 AC with doom siren and power weapon.
The Termies don't really need the MoS, give them combi-plasmas.

Combi weapons are a waste of points.
They're extra (What? Ten?) points that are a one shot wonder.... you'd better hope you hit.
This is all opinion based on my experiences, so far.
Drop the Defiler
Drop the Sorcerer & make him a Daemon Prince. If you're only using one spell, he's FAR better, tougher, and can really take and dish out a WHALLOP!
Drop the Dreadnought. There's too much risk & no reward. You can get the same weaponry on a more reliable model.
Why don't you have PowerFists on your Terminators?
Termies should have P-Fists (and no Slaaneshi mark). At the VERY LEAST, make sure they all have power weapons. Otherwise, you have guys dressed as tanks swinging sticks. That's a points-sink. If you INSIST on having it all Slaanesh, then do the mark (or not). If you don't mind hybridizing it a bit, Tzeentch marks will make their Invul save a 4+, Khorne will give them an extra attack (meh), or Nurgle (yeah, baby) will boost their T to make them hardier.
Raptors bite, unless you're Deep Striking them AND happen to get a lucky drop. They tend to die before getting into combat. If you keep them, drop the flamer. I know it gets no cover saves... but it's rather inconsequential.
Put Lascannons all the way around on that Predator.
Add a third Obliterator. They're only T4, now, so they're weaker. One Lascannon shot and you lose a whole model.
Where's your Greater Daemon? You need a Greater Daemon.
Your Champs DEFINITELY need Doom Sirens.
I'd drop the Sonic weaponry off of half of the EC's and mount them in Rhinos to take the fight to your enemy.
There are some opinions off of the top of my head.

Cheaper than that. I think they're well worth it if you give them to whole squad (minus the heavy).

So, say they're 5 points each.
That's 30 points you could use on a larger weapon that will be usable round after round.
As the unit takes wounds and dies off, that 30 point investment becomes a worse and worse valuer, whereas a heavy weapon can be put on a model and still have it until the very end, when that model is the last man standing from the unit.
Give me the heavy any day.

Unfortunately, you can't just buy a heavy and mount it on an empty space, so your comparisons have little to do with table-top reality.
As for one-shot weapons being a bad deal by definition, two words: Fire Dragons. These guys will rarely get to shoot mroe than once before dying, yet they are spammed anyway. It isn't about how much shooting in isolation, but what sort of shooting you need, and where, and whether you can get it there at the right time. Combi-plasma can be just the thing for DSing Termies.

alright, well here are a few things i'm thinking...
1. no drednaught, they are cool, but other things can do that job, and do it better
2. the termi's all come with power weapons, good, but you need to have a power fist in there to handle avatar\fex's\wraith lords, also
unless you really only want to play slanesh, i would throw tzeentch's mark on there so they will survive the footslog.
3. are you putting the sorcerer with the raptors?
4. if you are you could get a good little combo with the defiler and Lash, but to really work you need more than 1 defiler, with the litte
armor you have it will be a big target.
5. if not, then ditch him and go with a demon prince. same stuff, just lasts longer.
6. rhinos are also very important, your marines will get squished before they get close enough to do reall harm.
maybe something like this?
demon prince
--m.o.slanesh\lash of sub.
6x terminators
--p.f.\champ\reaper auto cannon
6x terminators
--p.f.\champ.\reaper auto cannon
6x marines (x4)
--5x sonic blasters\champ\power weapon\doom siren
rhino (x4)
--d. possesion
defiler
defiler
chaos predator
--all lascannons\extra armor
now i know this is over a little on points, (i dont have the book in front of me) but you get the idea. this will allow you to maximize your lash now, and you went from 3 pieces of armor, to 7.

Okay... I have no idea what that is even supposed to MEAN.
I stated, quite clearly, "...a heavy weapon can be put on a model."
He's already GOT the terminators bought & paid for (in points). Now, we're adding wargear/weapons.
tegeus-Cromis wrote:As for one-shot weapons being a bad deal by definition, two words: Fire Dragons. These guys will rarely get to shoot mroe than once before dying, yet they are spammed anyway. Bah.
Give me a REGULAR shot I can count on EVERY TURN that the model's on the table over a single shot, even on every model in the unit, every day!
What's an A-Cannon? 4 shots, IIRC (no rulebook in front of me).
Presuming 6 rounds of combat at Alpha, and that the Termie lives all the way through to the end, that's 24 shots for the A-Cannon.
How many for your combi weapons? Six (speaking only for your "special" shots)
Say it's Omega or Gamma, and he Deep Strikes... At 4 shots per round, the only way that the A-Cannon is a WORSE deal is if the reserves don't come in until turn 6.
Even at turn 5, it gets 8 shots over the course of the game (presuming -again- that I'm recalling correctly at 4 shots). That's more than your combi weapons get.
...Every day...

I don't know what L2r is.
I don't net-speak. Only English. : )
However... You're right... I overlooked that he has them already.
In that case, I say to put a Blastmaster in the Emp's Children instead of a Sonic Blaster.
IIRC, it's only 25 points and more valuable with a shot every turn.

By the way, you're really on a roll. The squad already has a Blastmaster, too.

I'd take a Sorcerer instead of a DP, as he can't be targeted if used correctly.
Termies don't need the Champ upgrade.
Rhinos do well with extra armour, d. possession is not necessary.
The rest looks good.

Is that a shot at my army? or at the advice being given?
If its about the advice, I've got to agree, I expected some more advice on my acuall army
Huge Eldar - I am putting the Sorcerer with the Raptors, as for only wanting to play SLaanesh, I thought that was apparent since I said Emperor's Children.
as for the Rhinos, since I"m not a run forward army I don't see the need, I'm shooty not assulting, power weapons are there for when i get charged.
Magickal Memories - I have the deflier, so I'm gonna have to test that out a bit since I already bought it.
I love my Dread (for the model) so I have to Keep him in
The raptors are there for counter charge not across the board assult
A lot of your advice sems to be transforming the army into assult oriented force, I already have one of those, this is going for more shooty.

The big deal about the Rhino isn't it's ability to run troops forward. Rather, they can deny LOS to your opponent and create mobile cover for your army. This can be especially useful as you are running Raptors.
I like that you are sticking to a theme even with the new codex. A few areas you may want to address:
-The Defiler. As a single model, it just won't last. I just can't imagine anyone letting a Defiler last more than 2 turns now that they are not indirect fire.
-No combi-meltas or combi-plasma for your Terminators? They are very cost effective these days (despite some opinions). Depending on your local players, you should look at which would suit your army better.
-The Dreadnought, while cool looking, just does not work out very well. The points could be better spent on Terminators or Chosen.
Good luck. Good to see some themed armies still being built.

I haddn't thought of that, and I plan on using the Raptors for countercharge, a stratagy i may drop in favor of a prince instead of my sorcerer down the line.

I already had a defiler, so i want to test him out, you may be right in which case shoudl i drop my defiler for two oblits? or my two oblits for a second defiler?

I'm just getting back into the enviroment, and I will have to see, it just doesn't seem like its a good spending of points
Sarigar wrote:

I think you're underestimating just how cool my conversion is for my dreadnought.
seriously though, I love the model, it would have to be really, really really damaging to my army to take it out, and even then it will probably stay in in non-tournament play.
