hi ive heard and read that with the new space marine codex that plague marines arent allowed plague knifes anymore, theyve been dropped for this codex
i was just about to buy some plague marines which 3 out of 7 of them still have the plague knife , so what do you suggest i do, i could change the arms on the models to a plain plague marine arms (no weapon) for £3.75
or just leave the knifes on
or what do you suggest ?
heres the arcticle saying that plauge knives can no longer be used
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/chaosspacemarines/gaming/eyeofterror/deathguard/default.htm
any help would be much appreciated
cheers

You'll be happy to hear that there is no problem. Just count them as CCWs, which all CSMs now have as standard (BP + CCW + bolter).
Also, that article seems far from current. . . .

My only advice is not to buy Typhus.
He's a smoldering PILE.
You're better off with 2 HQ selections for the points.
Spring for the extra & buy a Demon Prince instead... or a Terminator Lord (if you want your Lord in Termie armor).
You can sacve a bunch of money by NOT buying your brushes at the GW store. buy good ones at a craft store instead.
Also, if you're not a great painter, you can save even more by buying your PAINT at the craft store, too.
Many people think it's inferior. I'm of a split mind. There ARE better paints... but craft paint acrylics aren't HORRIBLE.
Just save up money and, instead of buying GW paints, go to The Warstore online (or soe other online retailer) and buy Vallejo paints at a discount.
Vallejo are superior to GW paint for similar price. You get less paint, but it doesn't dry out & lasts longer.
Just my opinions.

That article was written when the last Chaos 'Dex came out. There's been a whole new Codex since then. And considering that Death Guard don't even exist as an army now, I think the lack of Plague Knives will be the least of your problems.
Pick up the new 'Codex' while you're getting those Plague Marines.
