I was checking another forum and found a link to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eCqUL30CsA . It was about NMM and blending, but he has other ones related to modelling and painting. Anyway, I learn from this video that this guy has a site with each of these videos: http://www.steeldog.biz/ . Looks like they cost $20 a piece for an hour-long tutorial, but the sample on youtube seems pretty nifty and useful. Better than a text guide in any case.

So, has anyone tried this or other video series that are the same cost or cheaper? I saw that thewarstore.com has a series on painting but it looks like those only focus on the basics. NMM and blending is a PITA as anyone who's tried it can attest to, so if you guys know of any other videos that might help I'd appreciate it.

Kaple has made a tutorial (it could well be the one sold by the warstore). http://www.kaple.dk/v2/

So have you tried it? It says it only has 20 min of video and if that includes all the basic stuff I feel like it'd be awaste to spend $30 on it.

Initially I was pretty unimpressed due to the quality of the video, but I checked out a few more samples from his site, and I think it could be worthwhile.

My painting experience is pretty extensive at this point, so that might be why I was less impressed with his painting tutorials, but the sculpting and airbrushing seemed like they might be of more value, since I have less experience with those (at least recently).

Honestly, I don't think you can put a price on knowledge, so if you get anything at all out of it, it's probably worth $20 or so.
