Unless your opponents are leaning heavily towards all-infantry armies, three lascannons are going to be inadequate anti-tank. I would pay the points to upgrade at least the HQ to a Vanquisher, doing the same for the Tank Ace if possible. Also, as the Russes will hopefully be firing ordinance most of the game, the stubbers would probably do better on the Chimeras.

The only other concern I would have is AP2 firepower-your volume of fire does compensate for this some, but against multiple Terminator squads and the like it might start to struggle. The best solution is to switch out one of your Troops Russes for a Heavy Support Demolisher.

I just placed a big Forgeworld order a little bit ago to convert up some of my Apocalypse (All my IG are the old Steel Legion figures so been intagrading the Deathkorps tank commanders and commisars and what not in my army) and ended up ordering a Vanquisher so I will upgrade the HQ tank to a Vanquisher. Retally the points after formation as well as getting a good idea what to sub out. Also the reason on the Heavy Bolters/Stubbers on Leman Russes is most games that I've played in if your smart against Ordanance you'll hit 3-4 guys. Mostly good against marines so if I have to pump out shots I can 11 Shots at 32" is scary . What would you suggest swapping out for a Demolisher drop the Basilisk and get 60 more points as well as points for the Vanquisher?

Against a Deathwing army it would pretty much be good game. Unless I got really lucky with shooting.

Unless you are dead set on bringing all those 48" S8/AP3 Russ variants at 1,500 pts (5 incl. the Vanquisher) I would still look at taking out a Troops Leman for the Demolisher. That lets you keep the Basilisk for some indirect support, while still giving you 5 AV14 front armor tanks.

Against Deathwing/other 2+ save heavy armies . . . with or without the Demolisher it can be a painful game. However, Terminator heavy armies will struggle to hurt you with Assault Cannons-with enough of them they will hurt some of your tanks but not enough of them to necessarily win the war of attrition.
Plus, if they are focusing fire on your tanks that 1 of their weapons can hurt, they are wasting their ability to seriously hurt your infantry, and if they have good firing positions that's 4-6 AP2 shots a turn hitting them.

Also, Stubbers + Heavy Bolters comes out to 12 shots total which is quite nice indeed. The question is whether or not you need those points more urgently elsewhere to bring a Vanquisher, etc. Personally, I always take my Chimeras and volume of fire tanks (Conqueror, Exterminator) with Heavy Stubbers because they look good on the models but I can't remember them ever really killing anything. The BS4 Vanquisher Cannon on the other hand . . .

Leaves me with 75 Points.... Droped the Basilisk unfortunately.... And a russ... So losing those two for a Demolisher and 75 points doesn't really make up for it.... Any suggestions?

Why do you have a Tank Ace? You dont need him and you can add another Demolisher.

In an AC your Chimera can not have an autocannon.

Have you added smoke launchers and extra armour?

I have made an army like this but with 1 vanquisher, 2 leman russ, 2 demolisher, 2 armoured fist and 1 hellhound.

Could be wrong but I am pretty sure any army can use the FW rules to have a AC on the chimera. But thanks for the idea about dropping the tank ace.

Try some doctrines. Unless I missed something, you have none.

AC doctrines make the list. Leman Russes don't.
