What's the point of the list? Trying to lash stuff forward into your close combat units?

Problem is faster I armies will enjoy beating up your marines, and your squad sizes are very small.

Rhinos die very easily.

I think 2 oblits over 3 units is best. They are a scoring unit until wiped out, and they aren't so expensive. A 1/3 of your army is in those 9 models.

The point of the list is to lash enemy units toward the Plague Marines where they'll be able to soften them up in shooting and get in to assault. The Berzerkers are used to support the Princes. I have Icons across the board for the Oblits to deep strike on and give a lot of fire support and claim objectives.

I have been play testing new Chaos lists since the book was released and this is my next list to hit the table.

Any suggestions on how best to play new Chaos are welcome.

Hmmm, since you can't assault outta the Rhinos without telegraphing your intent...I don't know if people are going to be fooled by the Lash DP's.

Berzerkers support the princes? Who are in turn supporting the plague marines? Seems like a clumpler.

The oblits deep striking is imho a mistake. They are infantry now, so you'll almost always have them available to deploy. I'd do so, start them hiding, then move out and open fire. They have weaknesses, but hiding them until you can deep strike seems weak--they have BS4 Lascannons, what do you need to shoot in the side via deepstrike?

I'd drop all the Rhino garbage for more troops. everyone can wack-a-mole a whole ton of Rhinos in the first turn...and if you don't go first, they won't do much....hiding in today's tournament terrain is very difficult. Even 1 is too many, sadly.

Your Chosen say 'shoot me with bolters for alot of points'.
Being slow marines, unless the other guy walks up to them, they'll just get dead. Same thing with the Raptors.

You need bigger units if you want marines to get across the table, because their transports will always get shot out from under them.

Thanks for the tips. Like I said I've been trying out different combinations to find out what works best. Deep Striking the Oblits has always been a staple of how I play since I've been using 9 of them for a long time.

I'm not married to the Rhino transport so getting rid of it won't hurt my feelings. The Chosen and Raptors are used to get the Icons closer to the enemy for the Oblits to DS and bring the pain. In non-Infiltrate missions the Chosen will suck.

Geez, I can never get over how small some armies are. I dont think I have ever played under 100 models. Just seems odd. Seems wierd to me you have plague marines and Khorne together.

List looks very comp friendly. I dont see anything wrong with it. Might piss some people off that you have 2 daemon princes. I cannot say how effective it would be though cause im not a chaos player.

The two Lash Princes rock face. You'll see a lot of that at tournaments now. They are used to get things into rapid fire range and then, if anything is left, assault the crap out of it and kill it. It works very well.
