what would be ideal conditions (temp, humidity, and sunlight) for priming? im in NH at the moment and its kinda cold, does that affect the primer? i heard it cracks it.
how can i avoid this if so?

Where in NH? I'm from NH! But now I live in Buffalo, NY, so I face similar conditions. I always found that during these winter months, it was still "relatively" safe to prime in my garage, even at night. Usually that means that its not too humid, cause the winter tends to be pretty dry. Avoid humidity, cause the primer tends to come out as a form of powder, and can ruin any of your pricey GW stuff.

I primed my Baneblade last night in my basement actually, with the window behind it cracked just enough to allow venting, and even though it was 27 degrees out, it still came out pretty nice, with an even coat.

Hope that helps.

You want the paint, model and ambient temperature to all be the same. The humidity point is also valid.

I found that indoor spraying contributed to a sinus infection earlier this year. As a result, my priming is on hold till the weather warms up. Fortunately I have an entire primed Imperial Guard army to tide me over.

I've been told the garage is good as well. I don't know this for a fact, though.

Maybe bring your GW minis to a store and see where they prime. Chances are it's
in a basement or back storage area and see if they'll let you prime there.

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario. It gets cold in the winter, and I've found that the following works with GW primer usually...

Step 1) get model, primer, and surface to paint on (ie, cardboard box) up to room temp and near the door to the garage.
Step 2) setup table in garage, open garage door slightly.
Step 3) shake primer up
Step 4) bring the primer and the models out into the garage on the surface to paint on
Step 5) spray the models
Step 6) Bring them inside immediately
Step 7) Wait until dry, turn (if needed) and repeat steps 1-6.

I've found that this usually works for me, but sometimes the primer gets _SLIGHTLY_ gritty compared to summer months, this year I'm going to try a radiant heater for the garage so I'm not as rushed, and in the hopes that the primer finish will be slightly less 'gritty'.

Living in Tampa, the humidity is often rather high, but I've had good success with the "spray outside, dry inside" technique. Doesn't get all that cold here, though.
