I really like him! The camo scheme is very cool and not out of control. I would suggest another color added in a small amount to the camo though just to help break up the zebra feel, but that's a personal preference. If you were to add another though, I'd put it along the edges of the 'white' in random spots, not entirely outlining though.

The armor colors are nice and work well together. Though the fusion blaster/gun (whatever...) seems to be a bit brighter of a shadow grey than the rest of the armor. At least the cooling vent area that is. And the insides of the barrels have color where you're going to want black, you might think to go back in and fix that, a minor detail though of course. I could also go for some more highlight work on the reds. They seem a bit flat.

Looks great overall. More please.

I really like the zebra-stripes! On the other hand, I think the metallics look slightly out of place. Perhaps you could try using a non-metallic shade of brown or yellow, or use boltgun metal instead.

Great job overall anyway!

Agree with the camo. The metallics do look kinda silly on Tau models. I dunno why, it just always strikes me as...odd. But it does look really awesome other than that.

What can I say that hasn't been said? Metallcis are weird, camo is awesome. Post more!

It might be the correlation people make between them and anime robots.

Entirely possible. But I despise anime for some reason...excluding Jin-Roh and Akira for some reason. Kill-Teams and Psykers, oh my!

Thanks all!

When I think of Tau battlesuits, I think of 80's cartoons and Anime. As to the Metal; I chose it because it ties them in with the other main GW schemes & I like brass tones on Tau, but I think all other metals look weird and I'm not a fan of NMM. The only thing I'm not sure about is the blue on the mussel sheath, but I have no idea what I would change it to.

I really need some advise on highlighting red without it becoming too bright or looking pink!

But Tau are something I paint for fun when I need a break from my main armies. I don't even have enough to play a skirmish.

The camo is fantastic.

I agree that the red (and the blue on the gun barrel) need to be highlighted to really make the model 'pop' from a distance (especially considering how awesome the camo is its a shame if the other parts of the model aren't given the same love).

I'd also suggest adding something to the basing scheme, it is really, really plane and kind of looks unfinished. Even if you painted it a dark brown and then highlighted a lighter brown (or tan) over it the base would look much more 'finished' rather than just sand on a base.

Nice. I could nitpick about the scheme, which does seem a bit jumbled, but the job is a good one.

Ooooh a Stealth Suit with Camouflage
I like it, and generally I find tau distasteful, so good on you for winning me over.
The only thing I'd say about the Metallics is that maybe they are a bit too shiny?
Despite the little finishing touches that it does need (not going to repeat whats already been suggested by my betters) you've got a good figure there.

Enough waffle, I'm outta here.
