Hello there,
I'm so up'n going for the new update relese so I couldn't wait creating my new army allready now. I've got some views on the new codex, so I've tried to build as good that I could without playtesting. I created my own army with a special name of warboss, Stromboss Candakai (normal Warboss in real) that are in all lists except the 400 points list. Why I call the army name Stormwaaagh, is due to I focused alot on the Stromboyz in all versions (except in the small lists where they are to expensive having).
Well, first off I got to tell you about the tactics. While the Stormboyz now having Rokkit packs, they can walk + assualt up to amazingly 24 inch; a turn. In two rounds this means this can be up to 42 inch; in two turns, and with that even in lager games will I get able to reach the enemy line on multiple places. I'm not expecting that the Storm boyz shall wipe out all infantry that the opponent haves, though they can many times really shake the opponent infantry forces alot, and sometimes even totaly break mostly all opponent's infantry while doing mascares and making consilodation moves to other enemy units(Can be a bit hard on beakie, due to now how to strike last). But just as long they can hold out combat, no matter if the combat results are good or bad their both protecting themself and the other boyz to get shot down by enemy fire while advancing. When the 40+ boyz arrives there shouldn't be much more than close combat clean up and maybe a tank to deal with.
I'm not and can't really expecting the Stromboyz to survive in many battles, but just if they can get in combat early and in that way stoping the enemys to shooting down my slower mobs on their advance, their work is done. If I can reach the opponent in 2 turns with my Stormboyz while trying to hide behind something or get into cover after the first flight and avoiding geting in range for dangerous weapons. They are just to valuable to get shot down! The other boyz will I use the Waaagh! fleet of foot rule so they hopefully can come into combat in 3-4 turns.
This is the tactic that I'm trying to use against mostly all beakies, Choas beakies Imperial Guaurd, Tau and other armies that have a enough dangerous fire power that's worth suiciding the Stromboyz to avoid getting everything shot down. But against armies that is the opposite to this, also having lesser fire power but better in combat I thinking of not using the same tactic. Against those match up i'm not going to rush in my Stromboyz into the enemy line quickly due to they will get killed in no time when they get swamped by enemys(why I can do this agains beakie for exampel is due to mostly of their troops isn't good that good in combat). Insted I'll move toward the enemy with all troops togheter with the Stormboyz as flankers and shoot with what the boyz can offer and when closing in going for a massive charge with all mobs togheter and hoping that my Orks succeed best in combat.
To describe the general Tankbustas tactics shouldn't be to hard, cuase it's almost the same for all diffrent kind of matchups. If the opponent have any vechiles must the Tankbustas try to avoid getting in
LoS with it if they are obvious not in range, cause then all the rokkits will get wasted. I mean, it's must be better fire a load of rokkits against a unit of infantry than not fire at all. I've also added some bomb-squigs to the Tankbusta mobs that mainly the models with Tankhammers will use due to they can't fire anything anyway. They are also pretty good, 85% chance to hit with
Str 8 and with range 18" isn't so bad for 5 points. I'm going to try them out and extra good are they in my list cause even if they fail the roll to hit, there is no of my vechile it can and blow up. A true footloggers list dosen't have wheels! And of course will I use any opportunity to charge a enemy vechile, due to that is what Tankbustas are really good at. A load of Tankbusta bombz to detonate and also Tankhammers with
Str 10! It must be weird to not getting multiple pentring hits on any vechile of a such attack.
This is the tactic I'll try to stick with the 750, 1000 and 1500 points lists(The tactics for the smaller lists works out a bit diffrent, but not so diffrent cause there are only normal orks there).
Well, Oops!(as a Big Mek with a Shokk Attack Gun can say after a bad shot) that was probably a bounch of borring tactics to read. Not a speciality for a Ork really, so let's go on to the roster insted!
Wagadupiz! (Happy reading!)
Candakai's Stormcharge

The tactics in the 400 points
CP is of course diffrent from what's written above cause their is no Stormboyz in this small format. But look at the list, can you see the uge mass boyz? 59 Ork Boyz in combat patrol, that's just sick
IMHO. I can just imagine how your opponent face expression looks like after proudly packed up 20 beakies on the table and then looking on what you just packed up. I've myself never tested this, but I can say of how this look on the paper that this must to be one of the hotest combat patrol list right now. I guess There aren't really any special tactics but just using the Waaagh! Foot of Fleet rule and try to get into combat as fast as possible. If the opponent trying to run away from you and play defensive, you still got the Shoota Boyz to answer to fire. Also, if your opponent manage to bring a tank in (though that can only be tanks with total armor 33) I've got a few rokkits to deal with them. I guess that enemy armor is the weakspot of this combat patrol list but I guess there aren't many that bring vechiles though.
