This will be a Christmas present for a friend of mine. He's one of those "What do you get the guy who has everything(?)" type of people. He has loads of Forgeworld buildings for the City setting games we play, but his only monument is a Chaos Shrine.

I decided he should have a monument for one of the Bad Guys, too.

Here are some pictures of the assembled piece, prior to priming.

It has, since, been primed black. As this was but minutes ago, I decided to put some threads up on it and the other piece I'm doing (check the PIP Chaos forum) while the primer dries.

Painting will begin tomorrow.

The idea here is that the statue and tentacled base will be aged bronze. The rest of the piece will be your typical Gray Imperial Stone. Once finished, I'll do some water effects in the pool area between the pedestal and "fence."

Sorry for the image quality. It was in my basement and the lighting was subpar, at minimum.

Sharp eyes will notice a small amount of damage to his right hand.

It should take on the look of an =I= hero rising above some sort of Tentacled Chaos Monstrosity.

My list of Parts:

Inquisitor Tyrus mini (Inquisitor Range)
Plasticard
4 CoD Wall pieces (2 of each type shown)
4 small "barrier" pieces with spike
8 small CoD "barrier" pieces with no spiles
approx. 6" x 6" piece of MDF.
Tentacle and spike pieces from new Chaos Spawnbox (10 pieces)
Sand (for base)
2 large square bases

(The square piece Tyrus sits on is plasticard. The BOTTOM of the first square base is glued to the underside of Tyrus' base, leaving the TOP of the base facing downward. The TOP of the second base is glued to the TOP of the first one so that, when Tyrus is removed, the bottom base sits on the table like a normal base would. This supports the piece properly so that the base doesn't bow downwards when in place.)

The pieces are being painted separately (statue is one piece, the pedestal is attached to the base. It and the rest are a second piece).

Future images will show this all better.

Thoughts?
