Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I saw the Ork Codex, the new Burna/Loota sprue and the new ork boyz sprues today.

ORK CODEX
- As far as I am aware it is identical to the leaked version, though I didnt have a long look at it and cannot guarantee this. I only got a short look and confirming ther leak was my first priority.

LOOTA/BURNA SPRUE

- Its a single sprue, I havent seen what sprue it accompanies to provide the bodies.

- It only has parts for 4 burnas and 4 lootas, you are expected to turn the fifth into a mek from what I can gather. The fifth set of arms and weapons are not on the sprue (see below).

- Bottom line, you get four actual lootas per boxset not five.

- Burnas and lootas each have four different heads on the sprue. The loota heads include one with goggles and a facemask and an ork chewing a cigar. Most of the loota heads have crosshair monocles and sighting devices.

- The lootas have some characterful iron sights to look through, one is a solid block with an X shaped hole cut in it.

- You can recognise some weapons on the lootas sprue , including lasgun and lascannon tied together and a tau fusion blaster, plus orky self build stuff. The are options to add rockets to the side hoppers full of bullets etc. Very characterful.

- The burnas are very nice too, but nothing you havent seen before.

BURNA/LOOTA MEKBOY/BODY Sprue.

- You get bodies for five orks

- The asprue has one of each of rokkit arms, big shoota arms or custom mega-blasta arms. These will be useful as they are different to the rokkit and big shoota found on the boyz sprue (see below).

- The mekboy backpack is filled with ammo blets and has a grot inside/on top handing out ammo.

- There is a mekboy 'pole'.

BOYS SPRUE.

- You get eleven full boyz on the sprue, probably only get ten bases though. You would be able to have 12 plus boyz but are lacking legs for more than eleven. There are twelve torsos. One of an extra muscled nob.

- You get a power claw arm in two pieces, main arm and with two of the klaw blades on a seperate part.

- You get two bosspoles.

- You get a rokkit and a big shoota in the set.

- Lots of extra pieces to make your boyz characterful, notably piles of bullets and a 'run' of empty shell cases falling from the gun.

I was impressed with the new miniatures.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

See! 11 orks! 11 orks!

Just sayin....

I have a lot of ork legs lying around from the old mutant bag deals. Will work out nicely at 12 per box, which is what I can stick in a trukk now. Nice. 2 boxes to make a 20 man mob, so that equals 1 extra pk for the nobz out of each Mob.

Lootas are the only thing that don't work out perfect, but not such a big deal when you can throw together a loota fairly easy it looks like.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
