so I'be been reading the new Ork 'Dex and there a few things I'm a little unclear about.

1. Big Mek on Bike: can he turboboost and still repair stuff after it? because, as I recal, turbobossting only keeps you from shooting or charging.

2. do Kustom Mega-Blastas still cause glancing hits on the vehicles they're mouinted on? I couldn't find anything about....

3.and everyones favourite: Glory Hogs: they have to shoot and/or (?) try to assault the next enemy vehicle. what if I transport them in a battlewagon and drive it 5 inch close to an enemy vehicle. do trhey now have to disembark? but, what if I drive to fast for them to disembark?

Sorry Anung, not trying to annoy, but are you concerned that there are questions like this in a Brand New Codex?
I would have thought there would be a little more proof reading?

I#m not surpriesed that there are questiuons like this in a new book, I was just hoping somebody already would have an answer..

1. I don't think theres ever been a consensus on whether or not you can do an instead of shooting action if you can't shoot, could be wrong though

2. Is this question because the Kustom Mega-Blasta has Gets Hot? I didn't find anything else saying they would cause a hit to your own troops.

3. If they had to disembark due to glory hound, it wouldn't matter how close they are to the vehical, they still have to try to assualt any vehical in line of sight. That being said, nothing in the rules requires you to dis-embark them, so by raw, they would simple have to attempt to charge, but would fail since they can't charge while embarked.

IMDC?

1. No, but no proof besides the Mek can't shoot when boosting so can't do something besides shooting either
2. No, no rules that Gets Hot! hurts vehicles (C: Orks would have to give an exception, which it doesn't)
3. Well ... RAW says no need to disembark, so they can't be forced to charge unless they get out. Spirit of the rules? Perhaps yes they'd have to disembark, but Glory Hogs! is such a bizarre rule I wouldn't hold it against you if they stayed in their ride.

1) Can a Falcon with no weapons remaining use Star Engines? Can a psyker with no shooting weapons use an "instead of shooting" psychic power? Same answer.
2) If it doesnt say so in the 'dex, and it doesn't say so in the BGB, then it isn't so. This question is not at all unclear.
3) There is no reason why "attempt to assault" should affect your actions in any phase other than the assault phase, as "attempt to assault" = "declare a charge on."

I have an ork question as well, I'll try and keep it within the rules. For anyone who has "seen" the new ork codex, the Nobz listing suggests that a Nob "may be a Painboy...for Xpoints" Does this imply that you buy a Nob for Y points and upgrade him for X points or just pay X points for the Painboy.

You upgrade the Nob. If you already have the Nob, and you make him a painboy, you add the extra cost onto the original cost.

Ah see, I thought the same thing but everywhere else in the codex it states "may be upgraded to" and here it simply says (may be). I guess you're saying that by having the phrase "One Nob" it implies that the nob must already be purchased. I don't know maybe da rulez boyz fell asleep at the wheel again and meant to word it as the rest of the codex. I guess we'll see.....

It does sound like an accidentally omitted part of the phrase.

Regardless of the wording though, the option for the Pain Boy is +X points. The plus meaning it's an added cost.
