Human Auxiliary to the Empire

So my group and I have been playing alot of apoc lately. I am about to play a 7k point game againt my buddy and i wana try using the Tau manta. Problem Im having with it is it isnt updated to the apocolypse rules yet. I know it will be soon but we have the game set up for wednesday.
Problem I am having is that in apoc it says super heavies can only deploy one squad for each hatch they have. Thats all fine and dandy with me for the top hatch but the lower deck is supposed to release everything (pretty much a whole army) at once since it is an Access elevator. At least thats my take on it from the info in imperial armour III. Can anyone clear up for me that the lower deck can deploy more than one squad because it is an access elevator or no. Thanks for the input.

I don't know anything about the Mantas deployment, but just because a weapon is Ordnance does not mean it has a template. All it means is that you roll 2D6 for armor penitration and take the highest. You also get to roll on the Ordnance penatration chart if you do infact pen the vehicle.

Why would you not make up a special rule allowing the Manta to deploy all of its units at once. Clearly it is a special exception that will likely get some sort of similar rule when IA Apoc comes out. But more importantly, Apoc is supposed to be about having fun and if you have a SH Transport that carries half an army and you can only deploy two units a turn, clearly that isn't going to be very fun (or worth the nearly 2,000 points you pay for the thing).

I dont have a manta, I am in the process of scratch building a orca (almost finished) and then Im moving on to the manta next. Ive already got the base cut out for it so I can play with it. Ill post pictures of the orca as soon as I get done, should be about another 3 days or so.
I know it will be addressed in the IA apoc book (ordered it too) but I wanted to get some feed back and see if anyone had used it like I imagine it will be in IA Apoc with the lower deck being able to drop everything. I also imagine the heavy rail being a 5" blast and the ordance being either a 7" or a 10". My buddys just usually wont allow something to be played unless they see it in print or on the interenest confirmed by someone outside our group.
Anywho after I posted this he made a concession to let me use the lower deck to rapid deploy as long as the heavy rail gun was the only primary weapon. I accpeted the trade off. Cant wait to see what the manta death blow cadre data sheet looks like though.

The beautiful thing will be the rail guns spilling out of the manta. Im running an interdiction cadre and 3 broadsides inside the manta.
As for my orca, I just spent 2 hours of my life before coming to work detailing it and Im pretty stoked about it. Turing out way too good for being scratch built. Just need to have my green stuff show up now so I can finish it. Nothing like making xv8 burst cannons into long barreled turrets for an orca.
