Exciting stuff. I know some of you hate LotR, but I'm looking forward to the
day when I can find the time to paint all the lovely and inexpensive (relatively
speaking) plastics of the bad guys.

Best models the company puts out, on average.
Plastic Raiders (although I bet the standard is metal) 5/5
Corsairs look good but not special. 3/5
Camels looking good to me. 4/5
I like the mahud 3.5 (and the blowpipe is scaled ok despite my initial misgiving. They really can be that big!)
The halftroll is meh, but given who I think Tolkein was referring to I think they chose the best option. 2/5 (really a 1 but an extra point awarded for avoiding blatant racism)

I've never been a real fan of the Tolkien monsters in the line, other
than the Ringwraiths and their mounts.
And the mumak.
But other than that, the trolls are more impressive than their Warhammer
counterparts.

I like the trolls, make no mistake, but just not feeling it for the halftrolls.
I don't know how I would have made the balrog, but the current one is ok.
I do like the tentacles for the watcher, but yeah most of the mosters meh (The dragon I've never seen close up but I like it more than any other GW dragon. Damning with faint praise there though).
On the other hand the Dunlendings, the Haradim Raiders, the Easterlings (Cataphracts inc though I'll never assemble any more ever), I love what the Perry Brothers have done with the line of men.

Also making cool pygmies are these guys from LOTR range.
The LOTR range is really some of the best stuff (and often, cheapest). You can't beat the prices of their plastic boxed sets, even if you just want generic fantasy figs...

Many are the warhammer fantasy armies I have schemed up to take advantage of the Warriors of Harad box set. Such great models, and so so cheap. Only issue is how small they are, but the more models they add to the Harad line the more options my Hypothetical Dogs of War army gets
Camels = Fast Cav? Yum.

I like mine better... Way cheaper than the GW variety. Easier to paint and transport too.

P.879
...and out of Far Harad black Men like halftrolls with white eyes and red tounges.
The only reference to halftrolls in the series IRC.
