Subject: the NEW ork Truck!!!

Dominating Dominatrix

hello and a nice waaagh everybody.
I got a new Truck!!!
okay, maybe I should start at the beginning. Altough our store is only allowed to sell the new Orks at saturday, they already some stuff lying around and I got the local manager to let me paint a new truck for "promotional purposes"
so, first I wan't to say: IT'S A FRICKIN SWEET RIDE!
no, seriously, I never had that much fun with a single GW kit, and there are almost no leftover bitz besides a few extra armor plates. but still, it is one great looking car, well, less a car, then more a junkyard on whells, but that's the beauty of it. they got so many bits and and pieces everywhere. even a shift-stick! I never thought about it, but now it makes sense that orks drive with stick.shitfting. unfortunatly, if you put both, the gunner and the driver, in the front of the truck, you really don't see it anymore.....
anyway, what I wanted to say is one thing in particular. as tempting as it may be, paint BEFORE assembling. at least before you glue it all together.
I'm still in the middle of painting it, so here's a picture

So GW's thing has been to make there new models with all possible upgrades, and they did well on the boyz adding big shootas and rokkit launchas and even nob upgrade bits. My question is does it come with the one part 99 precent of the people want it to come with-the rokkit launcha option. If not I would say thats a pretty huge oversight on their part.

Rad. The pics from GW looked pretty cool. I'm glad to hear it rocks in real life too.
Oh, and if you need rokkits just hit up any IG or AC player. The tank accesory sprue has some great greeblies and extras. ...It also has the fugliest Hunter-Killer Missile ever. I don't know how an ork rokkit made it into the tank accesory sprue but there it is.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP

Nice improvement over the old mini-trucks that could somehow fit a load of orks in it. I like the walk the plank effect.

how many orks can you fit base to base in the back? I would hope at least 4. The old ones can barely fit 2 unmodafied.

Great pic with the falcon
Nice job on the trukk, and fast too! On the kit, can you really not leave off some of the extra gubbins to make a more "stream-lined" (right right, these are orks not tau ) trukk? Would a flatbed half decent?

Hmm... while I don't play orks (and do intend on buy the new ork boyz...), I might just have to pick up this model. It looks fun.

I think I'd pick it up just for Gorkamorka games, assuming SG actually brings it back.
