Hi everyone!

I'm in charge of organizing gaming events for a convention called TempleCon http://www.templecon.org/ running in Providence, RI on the weekend of February 1st-3rd, 2008. We are thrilled to announce that two of our Guests of Honor at TempleCon 2008 are Press Gang Quartermaster Dan (PPS_Biggie) and Developer Kevin Clarke from Privateer Press, and that we will be hosting the fifth ever WARMACHINE Hardcore Tournament! At the request of the local Press Gangers, I am out trying to see who is interested in playing Hardcore WARMACHINE at TempleCon, and while I'm here, I wanted to know if there is anything else that people would like to see for events at TempleCon, whether Privateer Press related or not. I'm not sure if anyone from Dakka Dakka is local, but I figured that I should check in the well-established online communities to see what prospective attendance for this event will be, and find out what else people are interested in playing. We've got enough space that if there is heavy interest in something we don't yet have, I'd like to try to add it, to make this a really well-rounded and fun show.

Last year we had an absolutely massive series of WARMACHINE/HORDES events, which I would love to top this year.

Anyway, I'd love to hear any ideas or suggestions you have, and find out who's on for Hardcore! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

- Ximon

We've got a crew up in NH that I'm sure I could get all excited. Let me spread the word.

Cool! Thanks for your help! We would love to have the NH crew come down for this! We want to make this a really amazing event, and so far it looks like there are players coming in from all over for this, so there should be a lot of really good competition between people who don't normally get to play against each other.

I can't wait to see you all at the convention!

I wish I was close enough to attend. Be sure to post results, events, outcomes, and happenings when it's all over for us dakkaites.

I'm sorry to hear that the distance is such a daunting prospect for you. For those with the means to travel for this event, however, we definitely aim to make it worth your while!

After the con, I usually collapse for about a week of sleep, but after I emerge from my post-convention hibernation, I'll post what I can here about the events, the winners, and so forth.

I expect that there will be a lot of cool stories to tell when the convention is all over! But after three solid days of WARMACHINE and HORDES events, plus a ton of other games, guest speakers, and the like, I'll be ready to head to the con suite for the TempleCon Super Bowl party and chill out for a while!

What were the results and memories from the event. Dakka minds want to know.
