Can anyone give me some nice Tactics for keeping my Chosen alive from enemy fire while they're advancing?
I was going with some Warhounds as Meat Shields but didn't know if this would work.
Any ideas?

Firstly it pays to have some neat flying support units that can go after opposing warmachines. Furies and Screamers are especially good at this. You can also try screening, altough the warhounds aren't the best option for this. Small and medium sized beast herds work best for this as they are harder to hit and panic (due numbers). The hounds work best as charge redirectors & harassers.

Yeah,my Army is Slaanesh so I was wondering if I should field some Daemonettes/Slaaneshi Spawns for taking out Warmachines and such?
And as for my chosen what do you think would be ideal for screening? what kind/size beast herds and such?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, basic daemonettes and spawns (of slaneesh) don't work really well for reliable warmachine hunting. They are best used in other roles. Flyers and fast cavalry are the best options for this. For slaneeshi theme, mounted daemonettes can work for that, altough they are expensive and really allergic shooting (fortunately they don't panic from casualties, though). For pure screening you can take minimum sized (10) beast herds with musician. Arm the gors with two hand weapons and the ungors with spears and you're set. Don't bother with other options.

Chaoslord’s given some solid advice there.

I don’t field chaos without a unit of Furies. They’re pretty essential for taking out war machines, and occasionally other units. Fear and Immune to Psychology are really helpful.

Fast Cav are the next best option. Mounted Daemonettes are pricy, but Immune to Psychology and three attacks per model are really nice. The inability to flee is a big downside, though. Even if your opponent doesn’t shoot them, you can lose them easily if he flees from your charge and then counter-charges with one of his units. Marauder Cavalry are still fragile, and are subject to Panic, but they’re cheap and count as core. Taking one or two units (usually just with Flails and Musician, though the axes can be decent if you have extra points) is a very good idea.

Daemonettes on foot are not very good. Instability really sucks, and they’re expensive for what you get. Every once in a while I field a unit of just 10 purely for fluffiness. If I’m building a competitive list I leave them out. Slaaneshi spawn are awesome, but usually not quick enough to reliably tie up enemy shooters and war machines.

Beast Herds are definitely your best bet for screening duties. The -1 to hit and flexible movement for skirmishers are great. Warhounds are okay, and very cheap, but die much faster. They also have a terrible tendency to force panic tests on your other units when they get wiped out by shooting or flee through your other units. Beast Herds can have this problem too, but it usually takes more effort on your opponent’s part. Thankfully the Mark of Slaanesh for your can protect your warriors, knights, and chariots from panic, but you still need to be careful with the positioning of your units without the mark (like Marauders, herds, or supporting units of Minotaurs or Dragon Ogres).

What those guys said.

Another option, just to mix it up, is to make it a beast army (take a beastman as a lord) and then let 2-3 units ambush.

Personally I would go with two units of warhounds. They are really cheep and not to hard to get out of the way the turn before the charge. Or use one unit and have another in reserve for when the first breaks and runs from being pincushined.
