Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I don't think this was posted yet, but in this months White Dwarf they had a link to a new blog and forum hosted by the US Community Development Team.

It is a chance to give feedback and suggestions to Dave Taylor and Co.

http://gwuscommunity.com/

As a bonus, they have the dates of the US events up.

Awesome! You know where I will be spending some time. Thanks, the GT circuit, in my opinion is the thing that GW has done best by me.

I took a week off around Memorial Day for the Las Vegas GT.

It looks like I should have taken Labor Day off.

Hey Allan did you notice that the start times were different, like the GD's start at 3pm and the GTs start at 5pm?

Maybe they just messed up some setting, or.........

Personally I think not having to take a whole day off work, and having extra time for travel is cool.

I don't see the dates.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

I tried to register, but alas, they must have figured out it was me and never approved it, haha!

ditto on the approval. They must've realized I was a member of Dakka.

Or they took christmas off.

Dave Taylor is a class act. I doubt he's not approving people unless they are exteme tools (like me).

You have to be approved for the blog or something, but once in they have like 6 posts with the dates, and once you click on them, there is like a subtitle that has the "start times" or like I said it may just be a botched setting. Not sure.

The thing I noticed was:

There is no Atlanta Gamesday listed.

They have different dates for Chicago's Gamesday and GT.

We've all been out on Christmas Holiday. I'm approving all those that signed up on the forums today. Sorry for the delay!

Hah! They do read the boards.

Thanks.

I'm still not getting in. Anyone else having issues?

A common error is that the blog is a separate registration system from the forums.

www.gwuscommunity.com - points to the blog (and any registration stays there)

www.gwuscommunity.com/forum - points to the forum (and any registration stays there)

Let me know if that helps,

Chris

Thanks. That helped.

I still can't get into the blog portion, and when I go into the forum portion I can log in, but don't see anything but the welcome forum.

On the forum side (www.gwuscommunity.com/forum), once you've registered, click on the Usergroups in the top menu, and then click to join the Community Member usergroup. That's the final key to actually see the boards (approval is quick when we're not on vacation!).

For the Blog, (www.gwuscommunity.com) you don't have to be registered to read it (only if you want to be able to comment on blog posts). If you still can't see the blog for some reason, please let me know and I'll try and track the problem down.

Chris

Barring the odd holiday and weekend, you should be good to go in no more than 24 hours. Any longer than that and I'd chalk it up to a server issue - whereupon just let us know something is a miss and we'll go in manually and fix it (swing wrench wildly).

For some, it shows up within seconds, but for other people it took hours or a full day to filter through. If more than 24 hours goes by, try logging in regardless and if that doesn't work, let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

My username and e-mail are registered. Why is it taking over 5 days to be able to get in?

The Community Development team has been out of the office for the Christmas Holiday.

You should be able to see the full forums now. If not, please let us know.
