Title says it all... I'll be moving down near there and wont mind traveling on the weekends to Austin starting early March. A lot doesn't change in 3 months when it comes to gamers so if theres a group around there I'd love to get some games in.

There are a lot of stores that play 40k and fantasy in Austin. Here are the ones that I know of that have open tables pretty much everyday of the week and tournaments at least once a month.

Battle Forge Games. Location, central Austin
http://www.battleforgegames.com/
Lots of tables, nice terrain and a lot of players. I am usually there most of the time and the owners of the store are avid 40k and fantasy players.

Dragons Lair Location, Central Austin

I haven't had a chance to play there, but I do know of a lot of people playing down there.

Ninja Pirate Game Pflugerville/North Austin/Round Rock
Can't find the website for them, but I will play there from time to time.

I am sure there are some other stores, but those are what I know of in Austin. You can also check out http://blacklotusarts.com/forum/
It has all the info for what is going down in Austin games wise.

If anyone knows of anything else please add it.

Name is Thomas, and I usually play Chaos and hopefully will have an ork army soon (too many models to paint). I also have a big bug list I play at hard tournaments, but now that everyone's in Austin is free I usually try not to bring the Big Bug Cheese.

I really need to get my army finished up already so I can head down the Battleforge.

I'm about 45min to an hour north in the Temple/Belton area. No stores in the immediate area up here. You have to hit Killeen's Battlefield Games, which I still haven't done on a 40k night.

The Reodd has recently arrived in South Austin - I will hopefully be making it to one of these fine establishments soon to check out the gaming action with my sisters or ultras.
