My strategy is to put my S10 'boss into the unit of bikes and launch him at the synapse creatures, because he has toughness 6, i expect him to slow down the main body by for a while.

My Burnaz will take out large units or Broodlords and my Lootas and shootas will launch potshots and the largest body of nids, refucing them to a manageble size, then moving on to the next.

My Gretchin will launch potshots, but then charge into combat with carnifexes and other creatures, so they will keep them busy for a few turns. Failing that i will sacrifice one of my mobs of shoota boyz to engage the fexes etc.

My warphead will go into one of the units of Boyz, his warphead upgrade allowing him to potentially get a blast/pinning shot every turn.


Is there any ways i could improve this list or my strategy?

I'm not confident about giving much list-building advice on Orks, but I will say that it's very pointless to throw Gretchin at fexes in order to tie them up. Why bother with that when you could simply throw shoota mobs at them and kill them easily with your PKs? CC with fexes is a gift, not something to be dreaded. Their shooting is what you need to worry about.

Leave the grots at home and spend those points on something more useful.

It would help to know how many models there are per unit (the shoota boys are obviously 30 boyz strong since you've got three big shootas each, but with the others I'm not too sure) and the point values.

I have added how many models there is in each unit, but i can't add the points costs yet (because it is not out yet, and this list is based on the pre-release of the codex.)

Lootas I think are better with multiple units.

Gretchin....gretchin....yeah, take 15 orks instead.

Warpheads are very unreliable.

Gretchin were there purely for the quantity of shots, but if you want, i can just as easily trade them in for a few shoota boyz or Loota boyz

Gretchin offer a lower guantity of shots, point for point, than shoota boyz, at lower range, with poorer strength and AP, and on less durable platforms. Really, just forget about it.

Looks a lot better the second time around. I would suggest either getting more lootas or atleast a unit of boyz on a trukk to jump ahead of the herd and tie up some of the dakka or gun fexes.

Oh yeh and loose the burnas
