Toss the BL on the Guardian squads, give them scatter lasers. You might hit something, and even kill it.

Add another wraithlord.

Above 1500, add a third.

Some close combat troops wouldn't hurt. Anything you feel like really, this army is going to sit and shoot unless someone comes across the table and makes it stop--having some close combat units to stop the stoppers seems prudent. Harlies would fit well in this army, since you'll probably have everything chucked into difficult terrain anyway.

I'll just focus on the filling the rest of the points part of my post, Stelek.

In terms of counter-assault, a unit of Harlequins would be my first choice. But how do options like Warp Spiders work out in the Counter-Assault role?

They work just like Land Speeders in that role.

You hide them, and when someone gets too close; you run out and go BOO. Warp Spiders can put out lots and lots of shots, that hurt vehicles and infantry. If you are facing a weak unit in close combat, charge in and tie them up. During his turn, hit and run and repeat the process. Alot of tournament armies have 1 character and 1 assault unit. Chopping the character up is something for an Autarch, while the assault unit is what Spiders can handle.

Please note this is solely for an army like yours, which is relatively static. Warp Spiders are pretty fast, and can usually handle a outflank maneuver pretty well.

So one of each.

Is the 7" (on average) second jump pretty reliable then?

Yeah, I ran a couple units of them back in my Biel Tan days. They had problems because of rapid fire, but they are fixed now.

As its Alaitoc, I'd drop the Guardians.
Add another Wraithlord with same weapons and a Falcon filled with Fire Dragons.
This gives you decent anti-tank.
For horde control, add a squad of Warp Spiders.

The pathfinders still outnumber the Guardians with this setup. Alaitoc doesn't mean only Rangers, but rather, a greater number of Rangers due to a strict adherence to the Path. So basically, the Guardians are the ones who can take the overzealous Farseers, while the Pathfinders were summoned from everywhere.

Or something.

Hurray for deep striking combi Flamers

Its a good and solid list. Though alot of people might not like you after you finish with them.

I would use the Harlies as the counter attack unit. They will be untargetable until it is to late.

Why would people not like this list?

It doesn't a lot of skimmers, and if I do include skimmers it will only be the one. My shootiness will largely depend on terrain and making sure I have good positioning. I'm pretty well screwed if there's no infiltration in the mission and I have to spend a turn moving and fleeting through cover to get firing positions.

Any other static fire army will outgun me through sheer numbers, I would think.

It would all depend on terrain and who gets the first turn...

God, I hate this game.

I would take two more wraithlords and a small unit of harlequins sitting with the pathfinders for counterassault.

If you can still do it, replace the wraithlords' shuriken cats with flamers, so you have something to do if people get hordes close to you (sextuple flamer!).

Maybe I'll just do one or the other. One with flamers, one with shuricats (just for variety).

Dude, there is NOTHING wrong with this list. It's original.

It has strength. It doesn't have the 'normal' Eldar stuff in it.

If people don't like playing it because you have pathfinders, they should quit before you start.

You have a army that can deal with most shooty armies, even if they get the first turn.

I like it. I hope you play it and have fun with it.

Mostly gaming with friends anyway. They're pretty laid back, so I didn't want to game them with some psycho skimmer tank shock army.

That, and I haven't played 40k in a while.

A long while.

I would probably add in one more wraithlord, an avatar, and some counter assault in the form of harlies.

You might want to consider something other than guide on your farseer, unless you really want to fortune those bright lances.

I'm going to disagree with Stelek on the guns in the guardian platforms. If you take out those two platforms for scatter lasers, you have 4 str 8 guns that can do anything to armor > 12. That doesn't seem very realiable (not that BL platforms are).

Other things to consider would be throwing in a bunch of war walkers to go along with farseer w/ guide, instead of more wraithlords.

Oh, I HAVE warwalkers. With EML.

It's on!

Brotherhood of Blood

I personally like runes of warding more than witnessing if your only taking one psychic power. Really disrupts opponents psykers. If you had multiple psych test a round to take then witnessing would be advantageous.
