I played in a game vs Black Templar for first time. The BT player claimed that for every unit that causes a casualty on a BT infantry unit he can take a morale check. I.E I could have 6 units shoot at his unit, each causing 1 casualty. By his interpretation he could potentially get 6 free moves in my shooting phase. I played it his way because I wasn't sure. Anyway, after the game I read the rule and it doesn't seem to break any of the rules for when you take a moral check. I.E. when all units are done shooting, therefore only allowing him one potential free move, no matter how many units fired at the BT unit.

So is he right, or am I?

thanx,

GG

You're right. Morale checks are done at the end of the shooting phase. Show your opponent P.47 of the rulebook.

Uh wow and no. that would make them faster tha nids,

When your done shooting at them then he gets to make 1 moral check for each unit of his that you shot at and then gets a single D6 extra movement towards you if he passes IIRC.

Agreed with what has been said already. Page 47 is very clear on that. The only thing that RZ does that the normal morale tests don't is that you can take the test even when you don't loose 25% of the squad.

Also remember that we Black Templars have to fall back if we fail that test from taking one wound.

If you are a poster rather than a player I beg of you to share your witticisms, insight and tactical expertise elsewhere.
