I played a game the other day with a souped up Nob squad along with a WB all on bikes and used a Nob as a Doc in the band. It was an amazingly durable unit. 4+ cover and then 4+ Feel no pain if a wound was taken.

Now that the codex is out and more folks have been using and reading my question is would that be a legal option to take in a bike squad?

Yes. You may make one of the nobs a painboy and you may also mount the entire mob on bikes.

I would have to agree with Budro. The entry says the ENTIRE mob may be upgraded, not just the Nobs.

yep, I agree. there are options fort nobs only and fot he entire mob. besides, the convrsion possibilites are endless. Cybork Bikes anyone?

I thought so. I played a game with a 10 Nob strong squad. had a Doc, five claws and although the unit was around 650 when done, I had only lost two in the game with the 4+ and then Feel no pain 4+
I took at least three turns of fire from three Land Speeders with Assault Cannons as well as the Lord of the Ravenwing in his spiffy boat.

The pout I drew from my opponent as he saw all my 4+ rolls being made was one well worth the seven year wait on the new Dex!!!
