Hey all, new to posting, been lurking a bit now. I've been slowly collecting Orks in preperation for the new codex and I've got a question about upgrading Nobz. Is it possible to upgrade a Nob with a Twin-Linked Shoota and to give the same Nob a Power Claw? Or is it a case where if you choose to upgrade the Choppa you can't upgrade the Slugga, or vice versa?

EDIT: Second question! The leaked dex says you can upgrade a Nob to a Painboy. Would it be legal to give said Nob 'eavy armour and then upgrade to the Painboy, giving that model a 4+ save as well?

1. Yes, he replaces his Choppa for the PK and replaces his Slugga for a TL Shoota. Seems pretty clear cut in the Nobz section of the dex.

2. Yes, in the Painboyz section of the Nobz entry, it says the One Nob may be a Painboy, not becomes or is upgraded to one. Therefore, in my understanding, he's a Nob that just happens to be a Painboy too.

Nope, the Painboy is a Painboy, and has different wargear.

Thanks for the input! I was pretty sure about the Twin-Shoota rule, but for some reason I thought it was a 2 handed weapon so the Nob would lose their CC ability. Thanks again!

I was wrong, sorry. Kinda got fumbled with what I was thinking. Nurglitch is correct on the second point, Painboy can't take 'eavy Armor.
