this is and army ive been working on for a while ... i have all the models ... most are painted and based ... but before i go all out and finish it for tourney play i want to know what everyone online thinks about it ... feel free to crit and comment all you want ... more imput is always best .... so without further rambling...

In this setup everything starts on the board (except in escalation) the tac squads and termis shoot and scoot across the board to any objectives... the assault marines flank to one side... and the captain sits back and protects the dev squads from any fast assault based units... i havent played with this setup yet ... but i want sa much imput on what everyone thinks before i use it .

Plasma means no assaulting.

If you are moving, do you need a 24" range?

Space marine heroes aren't very good at close combat, with the exception of some special characters and a Librarian with Veil of Time; so he won't protect you from an assault but honestly I don't think with 2 term/2 assault/6 tactical squads running across the board you'll be getting assaulted on your devs.

Personally I'd bring the 6 las squads instead and use the Termies/Assault squads to take objectives and take out threats to your gunline. The master is crucial for letting you take priority tests on a 10.

my tac squads will not likey be assaulting anything anyways ... i want them to scoot and shoot to an objective and hold it ... i added the meltagun in case someone tries to tank shock my tac squads out of the way.

very true ... he more for his leadership.. but if someone decides to DS a unit on my back lines .. he will be their to assault them instead of them assaulting my devs..

this is how i origanally had my army ... but it had major problems with mech armys.... mech tau and eldar to be exact ... xv-8s with move shoot move and eldar jet bikes ... so im trying and new approach
