Well, I'm new here, thought it was time to drop a list, see what you guys make of it. I will post pics as I paint/model.

HQ: Autarch (1#, 133 Pts)
1 Autarch @ 133 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Fleet; Independent Character; Master Strategist; Turbo-boosters; Banshee Mask (BM); Forceshield (FShld); Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Laser Lance (LL); Shuriken Pistol (Sp); Fusion Gun (Fg); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x1); Haywire Grenades (HayG); Plasma Grenades (PG)

Troops: Guardian Jetbike Squadron (3#, 76 Pts)
3 Guardian Jetbike Squadron @ 76 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Turbo-boosters; Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Cannon (SCan) (x1); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x2)

Troops: Guardian Jetbike Squadron (3#, 76 Pts)
3 Guardian Jetbike Squadron @ 76 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Turbo-boosters; Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Cannon (SCan) (x1); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x2)

Heavy Support: Falcon (1#, 215 Pts)
1 Falcon @ 215 Pts
Holo-Field (Vehicle) (H-F); Spirit Stone; Vectored Engines (VE); Starcannon (StrCan); Shuriken Cannon (SCan); Pulse Laser (PL)

Total Roster Cost: 500

It is half fluff, half fun. I am converting all of the models, so it will take time. I would like to keep it all mounted, and at the 500pt point.

thanks for your help.

Nasty list. However, I'd drop the Falcon's starcannon for a scatter laser (how many 2+ saves do you expect to see at 500 pts?) and use the points saved to swap the Autarch's Banshee Mask (which he'll hardly ever need with plas grens and his natural I) for Mandiblasters.

Another possibility, which I think would really drive up the cheese factor of this list (which may or may not be what you want), would be to make the Falcon cheaper, drop the jet Autarch for a Farseer, and get a min squad of Fire Dragons to put in the Falcon. The list would then look like this:

Farseer: Mind War

Falcon: scatter laser, shuriken cannon, HF, SS

The jetbikes are unchanged.

I figure that with the amount of AT you'll see at 500 pts, VE is not really necessary on the Falcon (probably the only time I'd ever say this).

I'm just throwing it out there, though. There's nothing wrong with your current list.

thanks for the reply. I think I will try it with the farseer as well.

Been thinking about it a bit, here is a revised list, based in part on your keen insights.

Q: Farseer (1#, 108 Pts)
1 Farseer @ 108 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Fleet; Turbo-boosters; Guide ; Ghost Helm (GH); Psyker; Rune Armour (RAmr); Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Pistol (Sp); Singing Spear (SSpr); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x1)

Troops: Guardian Jetbike Squadron (4#, 131 Pts)
3 Guardian Jetbike Squadron @ 131 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Turbo-boosters; Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Cannon (SCan) (x1); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x2)
1 Warlock @ [55] Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Fleet; Turbo-boosters; Destructor ; Psyker; Rune Armour (RAmr); Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Pistol (Sp); Witchblade (WB); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x1)

Troops: Guardian Jetbike Squadron (3#, 76 Pts)
3 Guardian Jetbike Squadron @ 76 Pts
Unit Type: Jetbike Infantry; Turbo-boosters; Eldar Jetbike (EJB); Shuriken Cannon (SCan) (x1); TL Shuriken Catapult (TL-Scat) (x2)

Heavy Support: Falcon (1#, 185 Pts)
1 Falcon @ 185 Pts
Holo-Field (Vehicle) (H-F); Spirit Stone; Scatter Laser (SctL); Shuriken Cannon (SCan); Pulse Laser (PL)

Total Roster Cost: 500

Also, here are pics of the Farseer, so far.

Let me know if it sucks, I think it is sweet so far.

The list looks fine to me.

I don't usually buy models which have guys standing up on a jetbike (or any other kind of bike), but it seems natural enough on this one, good job. More like an Autarch than a Farseer, though, as one would expect from using DA parts.

thanks on the list, I'll let you know how it plays.

I thought it would be fun to have him stand on the bike, it gives a more commanding feel.

The reason behind using DA parts was that I am converting all of the jetbikes with those parts as well, as the jetbikers all look kinda plain.

I was thinking of using parts from the new high elfs to make it more robe-like, but I am not sure if I want to go with that look.

Eh, I'll paint him up, see what it looks like.

stockton, ca aka Da Hood

man i really need a digi because that is almost exactly what i was going to make mine look like!!!!

after i thought about it i went against the exarch head, i kinda think it makes him look like a dire avenger on a bike. i ended up going with an older metal guardian head that has the hair out the top and an ulthwe symbol on it. but the standing thing is pretty cool, also the way i made my laser lance was pretty easy if you want to make something that looks a little more like a "lance".

take a bright lance.
take a field projector bit (the thing next to the catapult on falcons)

cut the lance in half and cut out the middle part of the projector bit. making sure the cuts are straight is very important, i didnt and it took a long time and a little bit of GS to make it look right. either pin (recomended) or glue the middle part of the projector to the end of the lance. then pin\glue the back half of the lance. taking the power weapon that comes with the avengers, chop off the blade and also on the lance cut off the back part, right after the shaft stops, where it connects to the "thick" part of the gun. glue the power weapon shaft and the lance and there you go!

500 points is tough, especially since Eldar armies tend to have a few expensive units instead of many cheap ones. I think that war walkers, while inferior to falcons at high points, would be excellent in low point games.

I am still debating on using him, he looks cool, but not sure if it really fits for a farseer to lead such a tactical force.

The reason for the small force is that I am working out the rules for a campaign at the local game store, and I want everyone to have 500pt painted armies.

I like war walkers, but I want to keep it all mounted, once again, for fluff reasons.

My take on a list like this would be to use an Autarch with a laser lance/mandiblaster, It makes a much stronger counter assault unit in such a small game. I would also think about replacing the falcon with a fire prism if you have the model. I think a fire prism will round out this particular list a lot better and when you aren't transporting anything in a falcon, its advantages are much smaller.

I don't have my book with me, so the numbers might not be accurate, but i would try something along this line.
Autarch w/jetbike, laserlance, mandiblasters 130
Jetbikes w/ 1 cannon 76
Jetbikes w/ 1 cannon 76
1 warlock for a Jetbike Squad w/jetbike, singing spear, and destructor 58
Fire prism w/holofields, spirit stones 160

It just looks to me like having 8 Models in your list will put you at a severe disadvantage. I know that they are durable but if you go against certain lists you will have some issues with more solid units that can dig in and pump out alot of fire power. And then you need to consider Orks. In 500 points they can outnumber close to 6 to 1 with a squad of 10 - 14 Lootas.

Just something to consider.

I kind of thought you were kidding when I read the title. Then I looked at the list and thought "Hey, that looks fun for 500 points!"

Yeah, you're going to get pounded like 1/4th of the time- basically anytime you biff a few armor saves. It's a total glass hammer list, which is very Eldar.

Basically, the Falcon can't be depended upon to shoot much more than once if the enemy has any mobile anti-tank weapons, but if you can isolate any portion of the enemy force it will die.

Oh, and keep that model as-is, but make him an autarch. Then go buy yourself the bitz for a proppa Farseer on bike. High Elf bitz are indeed good for that, but sculpting robes isn't very hard either.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Yeah, the model does look a little too ready for battle to be a Farseer.

I am thinking of using him as either a autarch, or maybe a warlock, not really sure yet.

Thanks for the advice everybody.

Twig, the Prism is a must, but beware! Your 'n little Eldar list is going to get ripped apart by my MECH TAU!

That is debatable Gothe. Your Mech Tau are a bunch of cake-eaters, and flower-pickers.

You should post your list, so that I may mock it.

Nothing is wrong with cake and flowers. In fact, I suggest your Fire Warriors use it for ammo, as they will be shuriken fodder every game.

Cheers.

Looks like a tough list at 500 points. I think a lot of your opponents will be lacking the anti tank fire power to deal with your falcon. A fire prisim might be a reasonable choice but I don't think it will be particularly better than the falcon. The jetbikes will be a bit hit or miss depending on how your armor saves go but it should be fun.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, and thanks to everyone who has helped so far. I'm new to Dakka Dakka, and the community has been really great so far.

Anywho, I have some new pics, thought it time to post.

They are not done yet, still in progress.

Good job on the transfer, I think you pulled it off. Sometimes those transfers can really be a pain in the ass.

I have 'Ard coat and dull coat. I'll show you how to take the shine off the transfer. It's easy. I've never actually tried to do it before, but Don explained it to me once, and I think I've got it.
