Hi I haven't played 40k in awhile and I am going to be playing a friend in 1000 pts. of Tyranids against Orks. I needed to know first of all if genestealer shock is worth it against orks or swarms of gaunts for my troop chose. Also if I should take a hive tyrant at such low points or a brood lord or maybe just a bunch of warriors. Thanks for any advice.

Don't take the tyrant, he'll get popped by the powerklaw of whichever unit he charges. Stealer Shock can work wonders against orks, but the trick is not getting shot to death because orks now have AP4 weapons.
