OK I'm makeing my 1000 son's army half way there. and here is question for my predator is DP wroth the points you can shoot all the time but your BS is 3 what do you guys think? my predator has AC and heavy bolter's and i have a twin linked LC bits i can change out.

any ideas are welcome thanks

I am not a big fan of Demonic possesion anymore. The BS:3 is a real killer. I would not spend the points.

Well, having DP lets you ignore about halfe of the vehicle damage table, right?
It also looks like your tank is more geared towards infantry killin' (with the AC).

I guess you have to ask yourself if it is more important for your tank to hit more often or survive longer. If your spraying off around 8 shots at troops, it may be better to do so at BS 3, so you have a higher chance of spraying another 8 the next turn.

So, I say yes for your tank.

I put possession on my Preds for a couple reasons-

A) I use the TL Lascannon/heavy bolters config. The Twin-linking helps with the lower BS, and the heavy bolters out out enough shots to make it not all that much of a difference.

B) Without possession, you'll spend half the time you have alive not being able to shoot. So 1/2 of 2/3 of the shots you have hitting is worse than 1/2 of your shots hitting.

Daemonic Possession is pretty handy for Vindicators.

and for land raiders since you can still transport troops with it with the new Codex and it has only twin-linked weapons anyway.

Uhh, the tank is just as easy to kill as it is without possession. In fact, it'll likely draw more fire as opponents won't feel safe once it's stunned and stop shooting at it. Consider that a good or bad thing-- depends on the rest of the list. If theres more important heavy targets, IE: DPs, Oblits, Termies; then this is a good thing. If not, well then not.

my vindi is demonic, but on my triple las predator? nope, not to trusting in the BS 3.
