Confrontation: Raising an army of the Temple (Abel)

The companies of the Order of the Temple are probably the best organized on Aarklash. Disciplined and well equipped, Akkylannians wage war like no other people on the continent. They never step down in the face of adversity and, thanks to imperial conscription, they can send large numbers of efficient soldiers to battle. And when numbers are not enough, the Akkylannians bring out the big guns and call upon the powers of Merin to accomplish the prophecy of the One God.

The shadow of the Black woods

This research represents one of the very first lanyfhs, the famous female troops belonging to the Drune kelts. The sketch is faithful to the savagery and blood lust this cast of warriors is famous for. These women are marginalized by the clan and left to provide for themselves in a world at war!
This artwork did not lead to a miniature. Unfortunately, the pose meant too many production issues and the face would have required a number of modifications to come out right on a 28 mm miniature.

Whoops that didn't go as planned. Though the link is in there for the army book. Take a look. Still one and a half MILLION spelling and grammar errors though. and Abel's story doesn't even make sense in English.

Yes. The Order of the Temple is a Griffin organization. They bring the Faith of Merin to foreigners. They're also a more noble-minded body than say, the Inquisition.

There's even a blurb in the excerpt about how the Temple is setting up Mira to become a new Empress, which I thought was cool to have some confirmation on.
