A couple of days ago I finished my tau force, and bought the new ork codex. I wanted a horde army, based around as many 30 slugga mobs as possible, but with some decent support (Lootas, battlewagons). Does anyone have any advice for choosing units for my horde?

Lootas are good as long as you take alot of them and there is another thread about tankbustas that if used correctly can be extremly effective. I like war buggies with twin linked rokkits and taking like 9 kannons with the bs3 they hit like gaurdsmen.

Dont know about battle wagons havent tried them yet and the sag is pretty freakin awesome but since your footsloggin i would use the kff over the sag. Or just take both. Kommandos are cool even though if you take snikrot you cant have a klaw but coming in on their board egde is cool and most likely the people you play will stand stand and shoot till you get there.

Dreads and kans maybe a good idea to cause they could walk along with your boyz till they can get close and start squishing stuff . Just watch out for the hidden fists

This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!

i'd put a couple of boyz mobs in trukks for extra mobility. Definitley take meks with kustom force fields to protect your slugga mobs. Some storm boyz could also be a good addition, to keep the enemy occupied while the slugga boyz advance

I'd recommend going splits on Slugga Boyz and Shoota Boyz. Even with the Waaagh! it's going to be difficult to get sloggers into combat, particularly if they have a Whirlwind or some other nasty device.
