New expansion could be a mix of both hive and wasteland with vehicle so Vehicle expansion release could still be a part of it. On the other hand I hope Delaque in their gang 3.0 kit finally get an open coat model, like really they couldn't fit 1 into Delaque 2.0 kit.

At this point, with both the pdf rules and the separate card release I would be extremely surprised if we would get Delaque vehicles after all.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I too suspect they aren't coming. Thematically Delaque are the poorest fit of the big six for Mad Max style combat, and perhaps they were allocated resources for six kits and really wanted to do the Tauros or something.

I have the Delaques down as the types for driving 50s Cadillacs and listening to Roy Orbison.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Most of the necromunda kits are kind of phoned in, even accounting for the duplicate sprues. Maybe it's because they are a bit old? Blood bowl has pretty great variety in their duplicate sprues boxes now, like halflings and that new vampire box, but the old ones felt very samey like the necromunda boxes.

It's a bit ironic considering necromunda is the game of micro customisation but everyone looks like clones. Even in the new boxes like squats and ash waste nomads

I don’t think so - first time I’ve seen it. Cool model!

I think Delaque will come before this. It’s just the tease. Then we get the preview which as we know can be way ahead of the release anyway.
So plenty of time for them to come inbetween.

Does anyone know what the story is for the Outcasts gang boxes? These were nonaffiliated gang sprues that you can make your rebels out of.

I've been looking for more for ages. I had one on order, and it disappeared on e, so I had to make due with the 4 man economy sized boxes.

Are they still around, do they have a new name, or was it just a good idea fairy gone bad?

Outcast gang use any model so you don't even need that box for the game. None of the weapons from the box are unique, the box pretty much only cover the ganger parts of an outcast gang which you never really need that many in the first place. Yes you can use them as your champ and leader but weapon they were given aren't that great.

A rumor video I watched today mentioned that the GSC for Necromunda would be based on the outcast models. I assume this means it will be an upgrade sprue like the GSC got for the Cadian kit.

The same video also mentioned orrus spyrers and van saars.

There are only four different outcast bodies - that would be weirdly limiting for an upgrade sprue.

If anything, I would expect the GSC kill team with a "Necromunda" upgrade sprue.

You have a link to the video?

Given the fact that few rumourmongers actually play Necromunda, and largely seem to lack the experience to contextualize rumours within this game's paradigm, I'd suspect there might be something lost in translation due to the GSC's mechanical designation as an "outcast gang"

Yea I don't think Valrak could even name units in the faction he plays, let alone some out of context image from another game.

Starts at 5:36, if the time stamp doesn't work.

Pretty short, he mentions what he calls the Secundus trailer from a couple of weeks ago goes onto say he's heard a little more info on the box set. Mentions something that sounds like an Aurus spyrer though he lumps it in with van-saar tech hunters versus mutant genestealers bugs and cultists that are based on hive scum, which Val explains was a description listed to him. He does mention that maybe this makes sense to Necro players as others have mentioned Necromunda is not his strong point. Goes onto say this is what Necro will be moving forward with more stuff coming for Necro Secundus, new gangs stuff like that and big things. Val is hearing Necro is supposed to be the big place for awesome new models.

No idea who this guys contacts are or how they get their info but Secundus has been talked about for months as the next likely setting if we were to get another.

So we have an Aurus spyrer, we know what spyrers are, Aurus is not something I have heard of before. Squats came along pretty quickly in Ash Waste cycle so could see a spyrer group happen. Or maybe house nobles are donning spyrer battlesuits and allying with house gangs and joining them for badlands adventures.

Van-Saar tech hunters, from the silhouette maybe a themed badlands sprue for van-saar.

Secundus was bombarded with ash storms to try and freeze it then later bombed and irradiated so rad mutant genecult in necro work/civvy/merc gear like the hive scum miniatures makes most sense to me, bugs, secundus had science facilities that worked on offworld fauna and flora, cultists, other gene cults maybe, hedged against the Cult of the Second Son. Or perhaps the description of bugs and cults is just all part of a single mutated irradiated gene cult gang.

Other things, just guess work on my part but a themed badlands sprue for each house.

I have no idea if these are rumours from those in the know but they seem like pretty good guesses to me, if that is what they actually are. I do wonder about another big box though with seeing warcry and killteam been split box sets now.

Edit, could be Orrus Spyrer, I have ling forgotten the names of the spyrer suits but that sounds a likely fit.

Orrus.

Spyrers wouldn't be that surprising. Ruins of Jardlan ended with Haera Helmawr walking off-screen with her brother who is a Malcadon, so hijinks with Spyrers and Helmawr succession in Hive Secundus seem pretty obvious.

I could see them bringing back Hunting Parties, or having named Spyrers as like super-house agents depending on who your gang is allied with.

It sounds like he (or the person he heard the rumour from) was simply using "hive scum" in the generic sense, and not referring to the kit of the same name.

ie. to differentiate the new GSC based on hive scum from the already-seen GSC based on miners and GSC based on guardsmen.

Either way, I'm glad GSC are getting more attention in Necromunda. Here's hoping for a second wound on their champions.

I could see it, spyrers and rad gene cult were my original guess for the box set. I wanted them to do a running man element with spyrers too, Nobles who have to regain honour or committed some heinous crime so they get sealed in a suit and sent into the underhive. And upgrade them to full battlesuits both in miniature form as well as rules.

Yes, It does seem GW is keen on keeping Necromunda contained to what happens on Necro stays on Necro and genecult was just filler so bringing them into the full polluted embrace of Necromunda is good.

I'm definately hoping more troglodyte horrorfest rather than purestrain, sealing a hive for a decade with ash storms to starve and freeze the population and then bombarding and irradiating it should have some interesting effects.

One thing that's mildly intriguing to me is that "Spyrer + Van Saar + GSC" seems like three factions in a starter box, on it's face, but we know GW doesn't really do that.

If the Spyrer is leading a bunch of Van Saar handlers then presumably the GSC part of the box may feature something big and nasty to even the opposing sides out.

Or perhaps the Spyrer is a hostile NPC that messes with both gangs in the mission/campaign structure of the new setting.

Or, the most boring outcome, the box is simply Van Saar + GSC and the Spyrer is a solo release to follow.

I was thinking more like the Neophyte or Acolyte Hybrids. I guess those are in the Combat Patrol, not the kill team.
We've already got all the GSC vehicles as generic vehicles.

The model for both Dark Uprising and Ash Wastes was existing gang + some new models (enforcers + subjugators, Orlocks + quads) vs entirely new gang (CGC, nomads) plus new terrain, for what it's worth. So one side being Van Saar would be consistent.

I can see the Genestealers being big on the body horror even compared to the 40k range. They are canonically the product of genetic meddling, after all.
