What's the deal with the "Space Marines, hurr!" expression?

Yes, it's a fun thing to say, and for some odd reason I can't really point my lasgun at,
it fits the bill perfectly.But, how did this get started?

Nyarlthotep667 (may his name be praised to the depths and his tentacles crush his enemies) came up with it in Dakka BYR (Before Yakface's Rule) as a way of mocking those he saw as being fanbois, those who saw no need for diversity in codicies, etc.

Note that Killkrazy is kind of right, but doesn't take regional differences into account. Around here it's "spaz mariners." Spase marinerz don't all come from the same place you know.

The hurr comes from: . This is what you must imagine when someone seriously does a "hurr".

The exact spelling may vary, the point is that "Space Marines" is definitely incorrect.

It comes from when people act like idiots or as if they
had brain damage or as if they were zombies, and so Nyarly
applied it to Space Marine fanboys.

Neglected to add: Nyarly is an SA goon which is where that expression/smiley comes from.
