Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I saw the new catalogue that is out after this week.

It is just a telephone directory sized White Dwarf without an army report and some self conglatulatory nonsense by the designers. Well I guess it does highlight the current range well enough.

However I am hearing rumours that GW will be doing bits.
I am also hearing that they are collapsing mail ordrr entirely to what is around this catalogue.

I wonder which is true, if either.

Now the catalogue does mention classic miniatures but implies that they themselves will be whole pieces, not bits, and they will be included cyclically. Also specialist games items are not included in the catalogue just a double page of samples and a reference to mail order.

Unlike previous catalogues this version definately downplays previous stock, and gives no option to buy parts of current stock. Is this because bits are being handled elsewhere, or not at all?

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Many bitz will be handled not at all. Some bitz will be handled in the fancy new way that Rick Priestley has been working on, the details of which I haven't seen. Score 0 for converters.

However, tt will be more economical to order specific miniatures (i.e. not a blister with a "random" chaplain) than it was previously. Also, many of the old models that still have rules for them (Juggernaut of Khorne, for instance) will be available to order at a reasonable (by GW standards) price again.

My happiest day ever was at the '05 Minneapolis GT when they were selling bits by weight. Its such a pain now to order them.
