It seems a rather simple piece, and not even really all that Sci-Fi looking. I think you could probably get very similar results from some other modeling kits or even scratchbuilding your own. It is nice to see some more support for the AT-43 stuff from Fire Industries though. I'm going to be watching very closely for some Karman stuff in the future... >.>...

Yeah this stuff isn't cheap by any means. But neither is FW and people still buy that in bulk >.>.

My entire budget isn't reserved for GW anymore. They
lost me at some point, so frivolous expenses (as opposed
to my regular "necessary" ones) are out the window,
especially when they cost more than normal.

I really do applaud Fire industries for doing this. its great.

That said, I sadly dont really like the model at all.

As much as I want to be a rabid AT-43 fanboy, I cannot bring myself to buy this when it really doesnt have much distinction from similar model for much cheaper. The other models are also more aesthetically pleasing to me as well.

What I want Rackham to do is release a rulebook with some balnced rules for stuff they never plan on releasing.

This way I can build something, throw it on the table, and it will be a balanced addition to my faction.

While I dont think this model detracts from AT-43, I really dont think it adds much in the current strata as we know it.

Its not a bad idea, but we need to see this stuff in a much more broader picture as opposed to a single model to judge this by. That said, I'll give this stuff a chance, but this is one thing I will pass on buying.

I agree with you whole-heartedly Hellfury. This model really isn't something I would have considered necessary or even that much of an addition to the range. I think people would have much rather seen some more crazy-cool walkers or unpainted troop options.

I think FI put this out as a stop gap for their resin AT-43 figs. As in, FI moved, and hasn't gotten their crap together yet from that move to supply the resin storm golems.

This to me is to show that FI are working on stuff, just to give us a bit.

Its for this reason that I wont poopoo the model, as it is FI trying to show the consumers faith that they arent forgetting the consumers needs.

I rather have something than have nothing.

I definitely like the intent there.

Maybe this would be a more interesting release if they had released the crew completely separate as well.
