Well I played a couple games with my new eldar yesterday, and both I pretty much squashed my opponent, but they were noobs.

So anyways I noticed a few things. And one of those is my jetbikes didn't do crap. So I'm thinking of taking out the two 76 pt 3 jetbike w/ cannon squads for something else. Right now my 1750 looks like this:

the jetbikes
Eldrad
Yriel
10 WG w/ spirit seer w/ conceal OR enhance and singing spear
15 path finders
4 shining spears, exarch, starlance, withdraw
5 swooping hawks, exarch, skyleap, intercept
Wraithlord, Sword, B-Lance

The way I've been playing my army right now is very defensive (i've yet to face a static army). Basically only keep the PF and Wraithlord in LOS shooting as they come in, with everything else hiding (minus swooping hawks sky leaping). When they get close enough I move up the wg and shoot and send the shining spears in. And it worked pretty good! Everything proved to be effective except the jetbikes, which didn't make their point value in either game...

So i was thinking I have 156 points to spare, and with my style list some more ranged support would be swell. I was thinking if I drop the singing spear on the warlock I could pick up 2 d cannons and 2 shadow weavers. That would give me some barrage, which means my tactic vs most armies stays the same. What do you guys think?

I dont know if I'm seeing the real purpose of the list. Usually I understand things better and can offer more insightful advice if I know if it is themed/competative and what the theme/competative-advantage is.

I mean its really easy to say "Drop the WG, buy even more bikes, be even more long range shooty and VP denial", but that might be the wrong direction for you.

Also, I'd assume you are playing a hyper competative list since you have Eldrad and Yriel. If this is the case why the hawks and not something more cost efficient?

Just too many unknowns to put in real advice.

The theme is a double alliance between exodites and iyanden.
Exodites (proxied wraithlord and shining spears): http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/899/raptorsoe4.jpg http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9926/img0302qt5.jpg (the big guy is the wraithlord)
Iyanden (wraithguard, yriel, swooping hawks-yriel's corsairs[they are wip atm])
and the pathfinders fit nicely inbetween the two. Eldrad is in there for competition, and i usually use a proxy for him (exodite psychal).

I like everything in the list except the jetbikes, and i want to replace them with something. I was thinking support weapon platforms for extra ranged attacks, and then I could paint em Ulthwe and throw eldrad in there as himself to make the list theme a triple alliance.

So my question is would 2 d cannon and 2 shadow weavers compliment the list better than 6 jetbikes with 2 cannons, or is there something else you think is even better? (this list is designed to be a take all tournament list that still has a theme).

Thanks,
~dan

as far as the general tactic atm, it's sit back and keep everything out of LS except pathfinders and wraithlord in good cover sniping. Hawks just yoyo for a large majority of the game unless there are some skimmers that need to die. Once the enemy approaches the WG advance and cannon stuff. If anything gets in assault yriel is there to kill. If he gets zerged, he'll drop his eye of

List isn't very competitive at all, really.

Hordes and tanks roll you like a wet paper sack.

I run Shining Spear models the way you do, so that's a bonus.

Can't see much of your Wraithlord but a Vyper as a shield...not feelin' it.

You'd be better off adding another Wraithlord than anything else. You have precious little that's 'hard' in the army.

I haven't bothered pointing it up, I hope that's not a 2000 point list.
