I'm from South Florida, though I haven't lived there in 6 years. This summer I stayed with my parents and played 40k at Tate's Comics, in Sunrise FL. This is quite a drive from Kendall, but every Sunday they usually have 8 10 people playing. The local crowd was really into Necromunda during the summer, but you can usually find an opponent to play 40k with.

As lifeafter has said, Tates is a great place to go to. I'm pretty new to 40k (still building up army) but I buy my stuff and watch games at Tates. I'd love to check out Sunshine Comics but seems a bit to far away for me.
