I've been contemplating how to get a Tallarn IG force going but thanks to FW not having much in the way of basic troopers for them I'm in a bit of a spot. I'm not very talented with green stuff so unless I get good out of the blue with green stuff I don't see it happening in the near future. Any tips and suggestions the community can give me is appreciated.

The plastic Harn from LotR are a possibility. I convered some to hold rifles, it was annoying but do-able. I wasn't overjoyed with the results so I'll not be pursuing this.

Rifles are from various 1/35 scale WWII kits.

Heavy and special weapons would be even more annoying but again, do-able.

I've not painted them yet, they'll be serving as generic arab terrorists/henchmen for superhero games.

While my concept isn't entirely 'Tallarn,' it might give you some ideas. Have a gander at
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/205727.page for some quick pics
on how to 'arabify' plastic cadians. Sadly I don't have any pictures of my tallarn models
there, but they will be up in the next couple of weeks, once the start of this uni semestre
slows down a bit.

The older tallarn models are still available from mail order (UK at least), if you don't mind
spending a wee bit of £/$ for them. Then again, there's always eBAy. That's where I got
my first ones, real cheap

The Haradrim conversions look good. There are also a number of GW tallarn units on Ebay right now. GW UK has the Tallarn squad boxes available along with heavy and assault weapons.

Hmm, I never thought of trying to do something with the Harad models, I may have to look into that a little. I might pick up some of the old boxed sets, they don't look super great but I still like them. Thanks for all the ideas so far.

eBay and Bartertown are your best friends if you're looking for these models.

FWIW, my IG is based on the Tallarn models, but I've painted them as Jungle Fighters in Cameoline cloaks.
