Ok I've always thought the venom could only get glancing hits when shooting at vehicles that arent open topped. However, I recently read it in a different light and thought it might be saying the the venom cannon cannot get glancing hits against open-topped vehicles.
opinions?

Heh.. interesting..

"A venom cannon can only achieve glancing hits against vehicles that do not have the open-topped characteristic."

At the very least, the English is vague.

If it said, "Against vehicles that do not have the open-topped characteristic, a venom cannon can only achieve glancing hits," there would be no doubt that we should play it the way we always play it.

If it said, "A venom cannon can achieve glancing hits only against vehicles...," (the only change being the placement of the "only"), it would clearly indicate the new interpretation that you suggest.

But as is.. I can definitely see it being read both ways. Though I'd like to hear from an English professor on the placement of the only..

That being said, this probably falls under the category of "yeah, just try that in a game..."

That is rather highly amusing, I love it. I don't think I'd try to play it that way, but it would be fun to point it out to people.

nice.

I thought I confused myself when reading periodically.
This time you confused myself when reading.

WAHOO!

I had to read that a couple of times and it still makes me laugh. I am going to ask people their thoughts on this one from here on just to watch.

Picture the influence that interpretation has on 5th ed SniperFex and have a nice day.
