Hi there! I recently got back into the hobby after a long break and found myself strangely drawn to the necrons. I suspect my house may have been built over a long buried Necrotyr stasis chamber but as my brother hasn't yet returned from the archaeological investigation I sent him on, oh about on a month or so back, I really can't be sure.

Until recently I hadn't painted a fig in years and was never really that good, so imagine my surprise when I painted the first of my cron warriors and it came out pretty good (earning a respectable 6.9 on cool mini or not). All I really changed was the colour of undercoat I was using and the fact that I watered the paint down a lot. Great, just wish I'd done that all those years ago - ah well.

So here's some pics of my WIP, the painting is going slowly (only 1.1 figs painted so far) but I've been having fun with some light conversion work as you can see

Welcome to Dakka.
I too am feeling the call of the C'Tan but I have many other projects that need attending to first, before I may join you. There is a very cool converted cron army around somewhere if you look.

Welcome to dakka! Necrons were my first army after getting back in to 40k as well. I wanted something that I could paint fairly quickly, and I really hated the 2nd edition Necrons, so it was a cleansing of my annoyances to get the nicer 3rd edition Necrons
