Ok i lost my codex a couple days ago *sniff*, and I have been debating with a friend over sweeping advance. Ok so when someone fails their leadership test for failing combat, they roll and D6+initiative, and compare it against the winners d6+initiative. If the winner's is higher, the loser is caught in a sweeping advance and destroyed. If the loser gets higher, then they roll for how far they run, and the winner consolidates. Am I correct?

You are correct. The one case you have not covered is what happens when the d6+I scores are equal for both winner and loser. In this case, the loser is also destroyed, just as if the winner had scored higher.

BTW, that info isn't in your codex.
It's in the main rulebook.

Correct, ties go to the victorious unit.
Also, you only roll for sweep if the two units have models in base contact at the time of the morale test. It can be a smart move and save your unit if the losing player is able to remove all the models in contact, so his unit can safely run away.
