Hi! If I put a hero in a unit of trolls, and I equip this hero a magic item that makes him subject to stupidity, do I need to roll twice for the test, once for the hero and once for the trolls, or I consider him just another troll in the unit and one roll is enough?

This would be a good way to hide to my enemy that my hero is using that magic item, and I think it would be the good way to do it.

Anyone thinks the same or have a different point of view?

i think once

SM- Lets roll to see who goes first
Nob- Urgh...ok, I got a 6
SM- Oops, looks like I got an 8, so I go first
Nob- You got a 8 on a 6 sided die?
SM- Um, yep.
Nob- Space marines.....

Giving an Aspiring Champion the Helm of Many Eyes and sticking him in with a unit of trolls is a classic chaos tactic, at least in my neck of the woods. He's got to pass a Ld check or go stupid anyway, so you might as well put him where it will do the most good if he passes and the least harm if he fails.

Oh, and it is just the one roll, at the highest Ld the unit can use- the general's, if he's close enough, or the babysitter hero in the unit otherwise. I always put an orc hero in with the trolls in an O&G army, to chivvy them along.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

What do you arm him with / mount him on? Riding a pig I'd guess? I've been interested in O&G trolls for a bit now but haven't worked out how best to stick an orc in there.

It's been a bit since I played O&G, but if I recall correctly it was a hero on a boar, with the 25 point magic axe that... did something cool in the first round of combat? And heavy armor and a shield.

I think Chaso Undivided alows you to re roll any failed leadership test liked Stupidity, so it is a good idea to put him with trolls!!

Thx all for your answer, on another forum everyone was telling me to roll twice, which I found a bit stupid

Make sense to me, with rulebook saying you rule once for a unit's stupidity test.(With undivided there's not much chance thats gonna happens!)
