Just checking to see if anyone is playing KOS with the new codex and if so how you're doing with them and what you're using in your lists? I'd like to know what you feel is working, unit, tactic-wise?

I've got one im going to try this weekend, all kos however, im also going to bring a mek w/SAG, and some lootas or tankbustaz on foot.
I'll let ya know how it works.

I have yet to do worse than a tie with mine. I'll show you the 2000 point list and you can break it down to smaller points if you want
Warboss, bike, slugga, klaw, squig, cybork (150)
MEK W/ SAG (95)
15 lootas (225)
12 burna boyz, 3 as meks with KMB (ride in battlewagon)
10 nobz, 1 w/ slugga and pklaw, one as painboy, rest w/ slugga and choppa.. all with cybork bodies
in trukk w/ rokkit, redpaint, stikkbombz, ram
12 slugga boyz
1 w/ rokkit
1 nob w/ slugga, klaw, bosspole
in trukk w/ rokkit, redpaint, stikkbombz, ram
12 slugga boyz
same loadout
12 shoota boyz
same loadout
20 stormboyz
nob w/ slugga, klaw
Battlewagon
Killcannon
3x big shootas (using it as modeled, open topped for the burnas)
2000 points
I have other lists for smaller point games
every vehicle moves every turn, the tank 6" and shoot the ordinance or 12". the meks fire their KMB's at the same target every turn if within range
Lootas, and mek are for anti tank, so are the rokkits in every squad of boyz and on all the trukks. it adds up pretty fast.. even monoliths die if you fire enough rokkits
hasn't dissapointed me yet!

I'm running a warboss on bike with squig and pk, 6 trukk mobs with power claw nobs, 10 lootas and then some ordinance.
It seems to work very well. Just too many high speed, high threat targets.
Things to watch out for are tough, high initiative troops like Khorne marines or black templars, which can do a lot of damage to a small mob before it gets to swing.
But generally you can jump them with several trukks.

its rare enough that I don't worry about it too much  but the point about ammo runts is a good one. too bad they can't take em or I'd use some.
yeah you lose a mek occasionally.. but three str 8 ap 2 shots at that range is damn good anyway

Ah. My mistake - they can have Grot Oilers, rather than Ammo Runts. Bit of a shame, that - definitely of use if they're in a vehicle, of course!
